other than the VCU game this seemed like to most emotional home game of the season...it was a gut check for the Spiders, who until the game winning blitz seemed to be playing uphill all night...
our guys never wavered despite questionable calls, missed opportunities around the rim and the Wildcats good mojo...they kept their composure, kept playing hard and the Wildcats finally caved in...
as a friend observed Davidson, looked a little weary during the game ending blitz...our effort simply wore them down...
and what can you say about Nick Sherod except when he gets it going he can burn down the house...it was spectacular!
props too to Grant Golden whose inside game helped us catch up in the first half and Blake Francis who ably assisted Sherod during the game ending blitz...as usual magician Jacob Gilyard passed out eight assists...Cayo had 8 rebounds...it was a great team effort...
once again FTs (18-22) and rebounds (36-25) were a Richmond advantage...is the world upside down too?...
congrats to the team and thanks for the outstanding home season...it's given Spiders fans great fun and entertainment to be playing and winning important basketball games again at this time of the year...hopefully we've played our last home game of the season...
close strong Friday...
Go Spiders!
