believe our defense deserves some love too...I know after watching JMU and W&M rush the ball so effectively I was worried about the Aggies powerful run game...it never became a factor...

holding the run game to <75 yards and the entire offense to 226 yards was a helluva performance...w/o the one big pass play they would have had <200 yards of total offense...

think they were averaging well over 30 points per game...

congrats to the defense...

And most of their running yards came in 2 plays, I think one was 16 yds and the other 45 yds

And their only TD came when we went for it on 4th and 2 or 3 on our own forty and they took over on possessions and the benefit of a 15-yard penalty took them to our 22. That said, the pass for a TD was right on the money.
Seems to me that the big thing that they were missing was a good QB. I am glad we got them without their starter who I understand was a very good passer.

I've watched the first three quarters on ESPN3 replay and still cannot figure out what the heck that 15 yard penalty was for. Billy Caughell had the runner wrapped up well in bounds.

Other tidbits I learned from the broadcast (some of which were corrected later, granted):
Bob Trott is our defensive coordinator
We have made the playoffs 5 straight seasons.
Porter Abell plays for NC A&T.

The penalty was for the following scrum that went out of bounds then fell over as a group. Multiple players from both teams...
Now how that is interpreted as a penalty is another matter...

How about the horse poop penalty for blocking out of bounds in first half. Even
announcers could not believe it.
