questions on Delaware game

What on earth is the fascination with a long pass on first down? It worked a couple of time but ended up leaving us second and long a number of times.

The defense had evaporated since the Nova game, what is going on.

Delaware turn overs after large gains saved us.

Kick offs still a problem, getting better.... a few stops inside the 30 but a couple beyond the 40?

My answers: Agree, don't understand all the deep shots we take. Have to mix them in there but we seem to take a bundle. The defensive line is just so worn down/banged up. Fire Dave Legg.

Kyle holding on to ball too long and missing who is really open.

On D we are playing more 3-4 alignment since we have lb depth.

Special Teams still awful though Heilkowski is punting strongly.

After the first few games my dad said that we were too pass happy. Thought he was crazy but once again he was smarter than me. Thompson is getting 5.5 yards a carry. Pound the ball!

I wonder if we can improve our odds by on sides kickoffs at least half the time. Because seems like half the time our opponents are returning the kickoff close to midfield anyway. Might as well try to recover a few.

I think only having 1 HB with significant carries is influencing us not running the ball as much

Agree - injuries are hurting us. Only Thompson to carry the ball. Had Abel & Drake out today as well.

D-line just so banged up. True freshman Jackson I thought held his own. Tough road ahead. One at a time.
