Just a question, is it easy enough for you to create a new Forum/Sub Forum for tracking basketball recruiting? Not sure if this is easily achievable within the rivals format. It's probably just me, but I have a lot of trouble tracking our hoops recruits in the one sticky thread.

I check in on a few other boards (ex: Keaneyblue (URI board)) and they all have a separate recruiting board - which allows for each recruit or topic to have it's own thread. I find it much easier to follow the latest posting in this format.

Not trying to be a pain, but just wondering if this is something that is not too difficult to do under the current options you have with rivals? Otherwise, I would rather we just post a separate thread for each recruit in the main page. I may be in the minority here.

I have no real objection to separate threads for various recruits, although many of them don't get much discussion. My original intention of the tracker thread was to basically serve as an index for all of the actual recruit threads, and I'm happy to do that if that's what people want, whether the individual threads live in the main basketball forum or in a separate recruiting forum.

As a small school, we don't have nearly the traffic that boards for larger schools do, so I don't think it would be too much of a burden to keep the threads in the main hoops forum, particularly with the tracker making it easy to find all of them, but I don't really care where they go.

23, Rivals is a pretty archaic system, so it's not the friendliest, but...

Personally, I'm not going to mess with SF's thread. He's got a system and it works. I would strongly encourage you to also create a separate thread on a recruit if you wish. I think of SF's thread as an aggregator for recruiting in general, but think there's plenty of room to discuss individual players on their own thread if you wish.

Personally, I'm really excited about the Djimon Bailey offer. Spidey senses are tingling.

Good stuff '05, thought that may be the case with Rivals. I know when folks post separate recruit threads on the main hoops board, other posters point them to the recruits sticky thread, which I have to search back a few pages usually - increasing my time on spidernation.com from 7.5 hours/day to 7.52. But I can do it.
Like the sense you are getting on Djimon for sure. Would be great news.
