I'll be interested to see what they look like when they come out. Some great games. Here's my professional guess:

NDSU -7 vs SDSU
JMU -3 vs SHSU (O/U of close to 100)
Youngstown -4.5 vs Wofford
EWU -13.5 vs Richmond

Hope i'm wrong on that last one but i'm expecting a pretty big number.

I like those numbers. Agree that we will be a huge under dog that will prevail . Do you know what the spread was last year with Illinois St in the quarter finals?

5 Common Opponents btw UND and EWU and resultant point differential

UND. EWU.

Montana State. 2A 24A

Cal Poly. 7 21A

N.Colorado. 10A 18

NAU. 7 15A

Idaho State. 7A 31

A-UND or EWU played game away

Point is EWU is a far better ballclub, right?

They beat a very solid Washington State team. They also went toe to toe in Fargo with the Bison.

The Eagles have a remarkably good resume. We will need a positive turnover margin to be in this game.

Looking at their schedule, wow, they can and will score points. However, they will also can be scored upon. Only loss was an OT loss to North Dakota State at the Fargo Dome and as mentioned beat WSU, a recently ranked FBS team.

We will have our hands full.

This team has proven us wrong, in a good way, all year long. I know that none of
you feel we can't win- so I hope all predictions are wrong!
I just hope our players don't throw-up on the red grass.

I thinking your numbers are correct.

NDSU might even open -11 or so since the dome gives us easily a -4 or -5 instead of traditional -3

EWU can be beat, i suspect -13.5 but ill crush Richmond to cover that

Anyone have a farm? This would be a good week to bet it

no way its richmond +21. maybe via sagarin ratings

5dimes/betus spread comes out thursday.

richmond is 75-1 to win title ndsu 1-1 on 5 dimes

I think that the +21 is probably right. EWU has a very impressive team. They beat Washington State on the road who crushed Stanford, Arizona, and Cal, and they took NDSU down to the wire in Fargo, ultimately losing by 6 in OT.
They have won 10 straight.

We are playing our third string QB and running back. Jones and Waller are out as are many others who were substantial contributors earlier in the year.

Beating EWU would be one of the biggest upsets of the year. It will take a monumental effort and a ton of great breaks to stay in the game with them.

I would only go near that line if the game is played during a blizzard. I don't particularly like our odds, because of the injuries, two cross-country trips, a rookie QB, that EWU offense, another road game, etc. I think we either do almost everything right and squeak out a narrow win or get blown out. And if we get blown out, I imagine the wheels will fall off completely, like vs. Coastal and NDSU.

I am not a betting man, however, so the fan in me is anxious for this snowstorm to turn into a blizzard that completely wipes out their passing attack, giving us an advantage and a win.

KJ 3rd string QB? Yes. BUt Thompson has been playing RB pretty much all year now, he's no 3rd stringer at this point. Our defense is going to be the difference maker for us in this game since EWU is so prolific on offense.

Not to be picky but KJ is 4th string. If we had Broadus available or Clise healthy after W&M game they would have started v A&T before we burn KJ

He is the second best QB on the team. There is no way either Clise or Broadus is better than he is. The only reason they were higher on the depth chart is because we wanted to redshirt KJ so he could start for two years after Lauletta leaves. We'll try that strategy again next year to ensure three more years of great QBs starting.

Agreed. Broadus technically was the backup QB, but he was one-dimensional and not really designed to take over as a starting QB. We don't win last week with him as QB, IMO.

Lines are out on 5dimes.

JMU -3.5
NDSU -10
YSU -5.5
EWU -12.5

O/U on JMU-SHSU is 90.5.

Vegas has the Spiders currently as 16 point underdogs. OSC

JMU has already scored 3 TDs in the 1st quarter. SHSU looks confused.
Sam Houston's no huddle, pass oriented offense has looked pretty helpless so far against a real football defense...

Keeler had to know what was coming...ha! making Coach Trott look like a genius

could be EWU's similar type of offense will struggle tomorrow against a real Spiders defense...

Go Spiders!
