Prove Us Wrong, Coach

I actually get the feeling that the coach may be using this negative situation and spinning it the right way. I sense that he is using the "Us against the world" mentality to motivate himself and the team. This fired up attitude is something some of us have longed for with him.

I doubt if any of you remember, but there was a team down the street a couple years ago, that used that same mentality to take a very mediocre team all the way to the final 4. That was a team we crushed that year, led by 30 at halftime! They knew they didn't deserve to make the ncaa tournament, didn't even watch the selection show. A lot of negative feedback about making the tournament undeservedly, and a lot of "us against the world - prove them wrong attitude", and we all know the rest of the story.

So, coach, if you can harness that power and make it the Final Four this year, all will be forgiven. Otherwise, see ya.

I hate the fact that he needs this type of negative feed back to motivate himself. Wish he would just be motivated every year without FMM and JOC to do so.

I actually think mooney is proving us right. We've been screaming at him to use the bench, and look, by golly, we were right! But he wasn't really listening to us, his hand was forced due to injuries.

Really??? Like the idea of winning games isnt enough. And where else does anyone else give a crap about spiders basketball to be expressing anything negative except on this Board? Do you think he is putting our posts on the blackboard?

It doesn't really matter.... Losing to Longwood should have been a fireable offense at the end of the season. And don't say if they would have gone 30-1 he shouldn't have been fired, because that's a pipe dream. If they lost to Longwood the losses were gonna come frequent and fast, and that appears to be the case.
