What a performance by our Spiders. After the debacle against the Pukes many, including myself, thought it would be difficult to rebound and beat the Indians. Man I was wrong. The Spiders played a complete game and really kept the preasure on W&M all night. I'm really happy for our Football team. Strauss looked like Strauss, the O line gave Seth and Jacobi room to run, and the D created turnovers and played better in the second half. Lets make a run in the Playoffs!

Amen B. The team showed up and competed the entire game. We are a dangerous team when not committing turnovers and being aggressive and physical. A sound game plan and great execution. I just hope we get to see more of this team as I am not ready for it to end yet. It was a proud night to be a Spider on the Reservation. That last game clinching drive and running out of the clock was sweet as the Green and Gold hit the exits meekly!

Very proud of the way our team showed it's character and resolve last night. We put together our most complete game (all 3 phases) when it mattered most.

Also, not to be forgotten that DR is now 3-0 against the Indians. If a coach is judged by his ability to beat his rival, DR is doing a hell of a job.

Maybe my perspective is warped but beating Bill and Mary is good but beating JMU is great. W&M is a great season ending game but I don't take as much pleasure out of beating them as I do beating JMU.

When you put a complete game together, every aspect looks good. Offense, defense and special teams. I don't think our special teams were exactly special with punts not being caught and kicks out of bounds as well as a lack of tacking on KO coverage and very little punt protection. Don't think many on here would disagree with this. These kinds of issues will get us beat in the playoffs if we don't get them fixed this week.

I'm just glad we didn't get any punts blocked. Helkowski had already had 2 or 3 blocked this year, and probably 6 or more others that were near misses. Couple that with the fact that W&M led the nation with 6 blocks, and it could have been a disaster. I think the focus was on just getting the kicks off and not worrying about form or distance. And again, the focus on receiving punts was probably about no turnovers.

Heilkowski looked to me like he was taking one less step in his kick at least on the first couple of punts. Still was close
a couple of times.
