I'm known as Mr. Positive around here, so I wanted to lay some sunshine on everyone today. . .*

Hey, we're 10-3 starting conference play! All in all, that doesn't suck.

In recent years, we've done a little better than expected in conference play. Maybe that trend continues. We're not going to face too many teams in league play with big guards that can take Gilly and Francis out of their games as much as we have lately. We also aren't going to shoot so poorly from three as we have lately.

We have more depth than we have in many years, and if Wojcik can build on yesterday's game, that's a huge bonus starting A10 play. Losing to Bama sucked, but they are a P5 program on the rise and it's hard to win road games against P5 teams most years. The Radford loss is the only one so far that could look bad come selection time, but if they win the Big South, it won't hurt us.

We control our destiny moving forward. We get home games against Dayton, Davidson, VCU, SLU and Mason – five of the top teams in the league and all likely to help us on selection day if we can get those wins.

We're undefeated at home!

Positives: Sy Chatman AND Dana Tate are now available in the transfer portal. I think they could use the tutelage of our upstanding citizen and coach :).

Broc, may need that sarcasm font if you can spare it.

On the other hand, you never know. But if you suspend your way out of Umass and URI, its probably not good.

I would agree with all if we had a coach who could make adjustments from his core strategy as it demands. With Mooney, its “this is the game plan for the season, do or die.” This is the lineup, this is the defense, this is the offensive strategy. Nothing will change and it will be mediocre at best.... BUT better than last year, so he did a great job, lol.

No sarc emoji, and unfortunately we get what they offer. Why don't you try the roll eyes or sunglasses and add after it sarc, or put in all caps if big time sarc

I agree with your thoughts Eight Legger. 10 and 3 is acceptable at this point. Auburn would win the A10 and Alabama has more physical talent than any team we will play considering their height and quickness across the board. Radford was a bad but accetable loss due to other wins. This team has the ability to be top 3 in A10 due to multiple weapons and improved depth. Coaching is the wildcard at this point. Can Mooney provide enough strategy to game plan and adjust based on opponents? Can Golden and Cayo take advantage of one on one inside matchups? Can our man to man defense keep opponents from driving for layups and shooting wide open threes. These questions will start to be answered in the next two weeks. If we finish top 3 in A10 we will be relevant come March. Time will tell.
