Special shout out to Nick Sherod. Less than a year ago he tore his ACL. Today he is second in the nation in 3's with 5 per game!. An incredible testament to both his natural talent and hard work ethic.

He’s been awesome. 20-36 from the three point arc. 56%. If he keeps this up he will have a season for the history books

Update on this from the fall:

Overall what a comeback season following his injury. He's played the 2nd most total minutes on the team (a testament to his durability), 2nd on the team in rebounding, shooting free throws over 80%. Oh, and #8 in the country in 3 pt % at 43.6%. Just can't say enough good things about him.

What amazes me is how Nick can make sinking three pointers look effortless.....................As in the VCU game when he scored the early 3's and set the tone for the game he totally changed the Davidson game in the second half..............it was great seeing his smile after one of the made threes last night. Also terrific to watch his dad's joy when Nick is rolling..................Great thing about local players is having their families in regular attendance................

8 or 9-1 when he hits three 3's in a game. If he has a good game we normally win.
