So the only Spiders we have on a roster/practice squad are:

Kerry Wynn - Giants roster
Brian Brown - Cowboys practice squad
David Jones - Patriots practice squad

And hopefully Tim Hightower can be on a practice squad or roster.

Players on a team's practice squad cannot be picked up another team while they ate on the practice squad.

To a previous poster, Hightower is not eligible for a practice squad because of his league tenure. The PS is for new guys.

Thanks Mo, that's what I thought but wanted some confirmation. Do PS players get traded very often? Only asking as one team may need help at a particular position whereas the team you are on may not.

Actually practice squad players can be signed by other teams at any time. But they have to be signed to that team's main active roster.

Interesting. I stand corrected. I guess the thought is that a team can "hide" a player from others on the PS. It's not like Brian or David will do anything that a scout sees, so long as they are on the PS.

Unfortunately Brian was released from Cowboys practice squad today. These things can be fluid as injuries occur and teams have lack of depth at certain positions. I can see Brian getting picked up by another practice squad or be back with Cowboys another time.

I must admit I' e never seen anyone get cut from a practice squad in less than a week. That's very odd.
