Griffin Trau, kicker. He must be athletic with 14 letters in high school. We had two kickers leave the program, Trau has no backup. Tough spot for any new kicker, especially a freshman. I'm just hoping he will make all the extra points, anything else would be a bonus. It would be ironic if the Griffins were beaten by a Griffin.

Helkowski is on scholarship to punt. Many kickers in high school do both punt and kick, but It's rare in college. Even if Helkowski did all the placekicking in high school, I haven't ever seen him practice it here, chances are he hasn't kicked in two years. But we'll see....

44 must be second on depth chart for a reason... Kickoff pinned cats inside 25 and he was cold off bench

He is a red shirt freshman. Have watched him closely during pregame and halftime markups. Not game situation,, but has accuracy and good trajectory but probably not the range of Yoder. Is ironic his line drive kickoff was covered well.

Strangely no talk about kicking. This game is not only extremely important with the league championship at stake, but also should be a tight one with two strong and evenly matched teams. It may very well come down to kicking, yet no one is discussing our distinct disadvantage here. Has anyone (26?) been out to see any practices this week? I hope they have had Trau kicking in pressure situations. I haven't been able to find any of his high school stats.Man I would hate to see us lose yet again on a missed extra point, field goal, or lousy kickoffs.
