This year will go down as one of the most amazing years in Spider Football. Every team works through injuries, it is a part of the game. But the level, severity and critical players we have lost to season ending injury is well beyond what most teams have to recover from.
Our ability to have our third string running back - perform as well as most starters in the CAA, have a QB come into the game today and perform at the level he did - is astounding, as well as the others players that have come into starting roles.
We certainly have the injuries to Kyle, Gordon and Xavier on the offensive side of the ball. I would say our defense has had to step up maybe even more-so.
I think what this points to is the success and depth of our program and the systematic consistent up-grading of our athletes thru an amazing recruiting/development/strength, conditioning and coaching effort from the staff.
What Coach Rocco and the assistants have done, and continue to do, is unbelievable and we have a deep and strong foundation for Spider Football and a "Program" that is at the Elite level of FCS football.
