New construction

In yesterday's BizSense, it mentioned we were getting ready to start construction on two new dorm facilities for the South Campus. I have to think that they are "H" on page 61 of the master plan (https://masterplan.richmond.edu/Richmond_Master-Plan-Final.pdf). The space next to the new IM fields is where these would go.

The apartment building will house 170 students and be 70,000 sq. ft. (think slightly larger than LoRo or Gray Court sized but 100 - 130 fewer students) and the dorm will house 150 and be 48,000 sq. ft. (think Marsh sized but 70 less students).

The locations are shown on the Google maps embedded in the post. The dorm will be behind South Court (B on page 63 of the master plan), and the upperclass apartment building (H on page 61 I guess, but maybe F?) will be at the IM fields.

WIll be interesting to they start tearing down the apartments, or build the new Apartment Building up on the north end of the curent intramural fields. According to the plan, there are a whole bunch of new apartment complexes to come in the next 10 years.
