Not sure if this is a replacement hire, or if they have created a new position. I know there are some here who swam at UR and follow the sport closely.

They lost their previous assistant, Caleb Lawrence, in late summer 2023 when he left to join former Spider coach Matt Kredich at Tennessee. Rather than rushing a late search with a small/weak candidate pool given the time of year, Barany opted to go without an assistant this past season.
