Lots to chew on here. For frame of reference, i believe we sell between $2m to $2.5m worth of tickets (both hoops and pigskin combined) per year and donate in the neighborhood of $1.5m per year to the Spider Club.

Is our athletics budget roughly $25m now?

Does anyone know how big the football endowment is now?

So I'm guessing nobody knows? If the full endowment is $2.2 billion, what is the football portion of that? Is it even included in that? I believe I remember correctly a number of years ago it was $80 million.

It would certainly be included in the full university endowment total.

Details on the athletic endowment are hard to come by. It was launched in the late '70s with a goal of $5 million over three years, and it raised $7 million. Under Boone the athletic endowment rose to $60 million, but I don't know whether it was still exclusively football at that time. I suspect not.

If it was at $60 million in 2000, it should be in the $100 million range by now I'd think.

I know you're kidding, but with all (I think) of the Congress being college graduates I can't imagine them touching college endowments. Can you imagine having every big 5 conference coming after you. Yikes.
