The NCAA has set the minimum number of games required to make the NCAA tournament at 13, for this year only.

Same as it ever was? Look closely, and 2020-21 college basketball season has plenty of precedent

Seems reasonable, and reachable. I do wonder what will happen in league play when teams start having issues. Will games just be canceled? Will they try to play on back to back days at the same site if there’s a home and home series? What about the conference tourney?

Fcs football, with 50+ person teams and 20+ person staff, doesnt seem to be having close to as many shutdowns as basketball with only like a tenth of the personnel.

I mean, they also only play one game a week, not three. I suspect the rate of cancellation is fairly similar when you take that into account.

Is 13 a lucky or unlucky number? Very low bar for qualification for tournament, but understandable given all the uncertainties of this season.
