Message to seniors and post grads

I want to thank all the seniors and post grad students for your dedication and hard work as Spiders. I thought last night was going to be a joyous celebration for each of you, but I must say there were a few tears shed as you walk on the court with your families. It has been a joy watching some of you over the past 6 years develop as players and you will be greatly missed.

We still have a couple regular season games, the A10 tournament and hopefully more games after that to cheer you on.

I hope all the seniors return for one more year and for those moving on, we look forward to following your pro careers if you decided to go that path and hope to see all of you back at the Robins Center on a regular basis.

I have enjoyed watching those guys play for the Spiders over the last several years. I was bummed to have been held up departing for the game, and then even more so by the traffic trying to park so that I missed it all. I'm sure that I'm in the minority on this one, but I miss when they would do the senior day festivities after the game like they did during Wainwright's tenure with the Spiders.

All that being said I wish the players the best of luck in finishing out the season and even more so as they depart the University of Richmond.

I still remember humming the road runner theme song as each Gilly steal was happening his first two seasons. I wonder if anyone thought I was crazy…

I am sorry if I give you guys a hard time. I really want us to just to win. If you guys can pull off a win against Dayton. I would be totally shocked.

I am with the posters above. Thoroughly enjoyed watching these kids play the past 6 years. I think a few in here would agree with me that the University of Richmond rarely gets the kind of talent we have had the past 6 years. My gripe is that talent was wasted by Mooney. My apology is that we couldn’t get him out of here fast enough for you guys to excel.
