still one of the most controversial calls I have seen in watching this historic football rivalry since the early 60's...

KL had already gone down, but we were still in the game and our TD here may have gotten us the win...if not for the targeting call...my blood still boils every time I watch it...

a win in this game may have gotten us a 1st round bye and possibly a second round home game in the Playoffs...

ironically without a "Plan B" at QB after KL's injury, I think Reid Chenault ultimately played the last portion of the game...he may well lead our offense on Saturday...

Met Justin Rubin's parents at the UVA game. I asked his dad how often he thinks about that targeting call. He said "every day".

Also, a nod to Reid Chenault. He has really improved himself over 24 months.

Love to see Justin and Rubin have great games and lead us to victory the weekend.

Hoping you are right, but the Tribe just crushed the same Villanova team (in Philadelphia) that crushed us at home, after shellacing the Maine team couple weeks ago. It doesn't look good, but anything can happen I guess.

Over on the Indian fan site they are "licking their chops". Hopefully at the end of the game, "they'll be licking their wounds!" I can dream.

Don't know that many are "licking their chops" among Tribe fans. I certainly know that EVERY CAA team is dangerous, and I expect the Spiders to show up and play hard. I smell a defensive war. Hope to see some of you. Drop by the QB Club tailgate lot at Old St. Bede's Church if you have time. Just ask where Sandy is.

Spides open as 7 1/2 dogs on Sat. Got 'em just where we want 'em, in a rivalry game.
Lets go guys.

Both teams have struggled this year but the Tribe will have a ton of emotion and will be playing for their coach in his last game. I really don't like the optics of this one going in but we shall see.

In the oldest football rivalry in the South we are a game down along with 5 ties. Has been proven over and over it does not matter what the teams' records are going into this game. Let's beat the Indians - oops sorry, let's out myth the Griffin, and come away with an emotional win. And by the way all the best to Jimmye Laycock in his postcoach career - he is one of the classiest in the business............

The peanut gang is taking 17 so it will be a lot of mouth from us to go along with others
King Peanut: The Spider Gang will be bringing 13...that makes at least 30 of us to carry on at Jimmye's celebration...

you remember what happened the last time UR got involved in the middle of something like this? Turkey-burg in 2015...could we blow this one up too?

Go Spiders!

Finish strong Spiders, take some of the bitter taste out of our mouths for the off-season

Definitely a time when beating the Indians in the last game of the season, which was on Thanksgiving Day and played in Richmond (1923-1964 only played 3 times in Williamsburg) made our season. Let's beat the Indians this Saturday.
