Lauletta projected

Chargers would be a good fit. Could also see Washington, NE or Pittsburgh - all places where he'd have the ability to sit behind a quality starter and learn for two years before taking the reins.

Hopefully Bruce Allen of Washington, UR Alum '78, will take a long look at Kyle.

As a Skins fan I don’t want us to touch him and ruin him. Bruce Allen has no idea how to build a team. Don’t want him on any nfce team because I’d have to root for that team.

He’s going to the Pats in the 2nd is my guess.

long suffering Browns fan here...Cleveland has been a graveyard for more QBs than I can remember since 1999...

I have been following the speculation on the Brown's draft closely...the good mojo for KL is that his name has never been mentioned in conjunction Cleveland's draft...

Prognosticators predict they will destroy Darnold, Allen or Mayfield's career...

KL appears to be safe...

Go Spiders!

Isn't Kevin Costner in charge of your draft this year?

Take Saquon #1 and trade down with the other pick. Sign a QB then draft his replacement in the 2nd or 3rd Round.

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller did his 7 round draft and shows Kyle going to Baltimore in the 3rd round.

Lot of talk here about the Ravens wanting to get started on replacing Flacco.
Wouldn't that be ironic, one of the last college games Flacco lost was to our Spiders.
And, a FCS qb replacing another FCS qb.

Ran in to a young man who was a linebacker for Albany, and is graduating in May. His said hands down that KL was the best qb he ever played against, said that he is extremely illusive when the pocket closes in around him.

Keep reading that he “can’t throw deep.” Feel like we saw him go downfield effectively for three years! He should just package all his deep throws together and plaster it all over the internet. His elusiveness, smarts and accuracy are plenty to solidify him in that second tier after the big 4 (Allen, Mayfield, Rosen, Darnold).

Is Belichick enamored with this ex-lacrosse player?

The third of a five-part series looking at quarterbacks - and possible heirs to Tom Brady as the starter - the Patriots could draft.

http://www.nbcsports.com/boston/video/next-heir-kyle-lauletta?

Lauletta's release is quick. I've heard it compared to Jimmy G's. Let's not get crazy. Garoppolo's release is one of the best in the league. With Lauletta, you can see it coming, but those mechanics are sound and it looks like he's eliminated a quick windup that showed up on tape more than once. That allows the ball to come out quickly and when it does, he's usually on point. Lauletta completed 65 percent of his throws this past season with 28 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. If the Patriots hell-bent on finding a young signal caller to groom, Lauletta checks at least some of the boxes including leadership - he was a two-time captain at Richmond. So, where's the sweet spot to call his name on draft weekend? The early second-round pick, 43rd, is too high. In my opinion, that late second-rounder, 65th, is too high as well. The problem then becomes the amount of smoke that's surrounding Lauletta. Are their teams that truly consider him a second-rounder or early third-rounder? All it takes is one, and pre-draft scuttle says there's more than one thinking that way, including the Redskins. Is that right? And do the Pats like the player so much they'd disrupt the integrity of their board and "reach"? We've heard in the past that's not how Belichick and company operate, but the truth is they've drafted for need and stretched many times. Will quarterback be the next position and Lauletta be the next player to make that happen? Stay tuned.

If he can land with the right team, with a good QB coach, they'll get his mechanics fine tuned in no time. Improving fundamentals alone could add 5-10 yds to his throws. Kyle's flaws, which I think are minor, are very fixable.

I can't wait to watch his NFL journey/development.

...and please, no Broncos. Their development of QBs over past 8 yrs has been abysmal...which is surprising considering they have Elway in the building. Manning was already HoF material when he joined them, so don't think he counts from a development perspective.

Elway was a great qb, but it doesn't translate to be a great instructor. It's been proven many times that the best coaches for example are those where things didn't come easily for them. I can't think of one head coach , most less team president, that was a HOF'r that translated to success. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think so.

Kyle projected as 63rd overall pick going in second round to Patriots tonight on NFL Network on Path to the Draft Show. Commentator also commented while highlights being shown that he played for the Richmond Spiders who had the best helmet in college football.

Must have been Todd McShay. I hope Russ carries a helmet on every recruiting trip.
