Just announced that KJ will graduate and play his final year elsewhere. Not really a shock. Best of luck to him! Some great memories from his playoff run a few years ago.

Think others have captured it well. Wish KJ a lot of success wherever he ends up. Won’t ever forget UND and wish it had gone better this year, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out how you want it to.

Does seem like a good time to bring in a transfer but I hope it’s someone with 2 years of eligibility. I hate recruiting over QBs and seems like we really like the kid we’re bringing in from TN. The transfer market is much different than it used to be now that players can transfer within 1A programs easily. You can’t rely on transfers to be studs as the best guys often jump from one P5 to another.

I do not want to jinx anything either but have also heard rumor of a P5 transfer who would have 2 years eligibility. Agreed we do not need any 1 and dones.

If it's a P5, I surmise the best place for us to start poking our heads is the depth charts of the programs in Virginia and in the adjacent states. Of interest to me was Sparky Woods recently requesting connection with Mack Brown on Twitter. What's the UNC depth chart look like? UNC got one of our recruits. Wonder if someone else might come back our way.

I have no background knowledge. This is all supposition on my part.

Sorry, Mo, I shouldn't have said anything. Not trying to play games or make people guess.
I just reacted to the previous posts about FBS transfers.
If it comes to fruition, I'll confirm - if I find out it's way off base, I'll say that, too.

Nothing to do with you. I have heard this from 3 or 4 places now. Perhaps it's just our standard echo chamber and the 3 or 4 people are regurgitating from you but i'm cool with letting the mind wander.

Well, then - no, it's not a VA or adjacent state school, either. :)
He is in the transfer database.

wow this place is the football tmz today lol , this is what happens after two non playoff seasons , i am starting to feel better about next year , it at least seems they have a plan now.

OK. I will start with Iowa and branch out from there.

Unless you can provide another hint...

Back to the subject of this thread....Bob Black said he thought KJ should go Division II for his grad year.

I was thinking.....Delaware's not real happy with their QB situation.

KJ is not a CAA caliper QB. D2 is best, but why risk more head injuries. what does he have left to prove?

Would absolutely love to have an FBS transfer for 2 years. Walker can redshirt this next year learning the system and adjusting to college play and then his RsFr year can compete for starter minutes.
