Kerry tied for the most tackles (7) for the New York Football Giants vs the Deadskins today. He also had one tackle for a loss. Hope he keeps it up! Go Spiders!

He's getting some love from Giants fans! Current Giants message board topic on him below:

He looked good inside and out. Kept up with RGIII a few times chasing him out of the pocket. How is Cooper doing? still on injured reserve?

^^Thanks for the link. Hopefully Kerry finishes strong against against some better competition than the Washington football team provided.

If he did them in that order, I want to see this play!

I agree. If that isn't two plays then I want to see the film...

Separate plays. Int was very athletic play. In the post game he stated that he had a similar chance at UR and it hit him on the helmet, wanted to make up for it. He got all the snaps in the second half after DE Donte Moore was ejected. Played another fundamental solid game.

Kerry was just on WFAN in NY with Ed Coleman. Ed referred to UR as a basketball school. By the end of the interview Ed was referring to "the Spiders, a football powerhouse". Kerry came across very well and obviously represented!

I think the Giants really like Kerry's ability to play both inside and outside.

Looking toward next year, I think the Giants will let Mathias Kiwanuka walk. Kerry should be in the DE rotation with JPP (assuming contract extension), Robert Ayers and Damontre Moore. I actually think Kerry is working his way ahead of Texas AM product Moore.

Theres a decent chance the Giants draft a DE early but Kerry should definitely be in the rotation next year if he stays healthy.

It would be great if Coop could actually stay healthy too. Next year is put up or shut up time for him.

Kudos to the strength and conditioning program, too. Kerry signed with us at 6'5" and 206 lbs. He is now 6'5" and 264 lbs. Great work for Chris Stewart and his guys; great work ethic for Kerry. Love it when all that work pays off.

Modest guy, what a great ambassador for UR. Great run back, nifty moves and burst speed!

Never saw much of that energy from him at UR. I always knew he had the physical attributes to dominate 1-AA football, but rarely showed it. I am glad to see him playing well in the NFL.

Kerry is a natural defensive end and was forced to play defensive tackle at UR because he was the best player on the line. In addition to being injured his first couple of seasons, he spent the majority of his college career taking on double teams as a DT and sacrificing his stats for the greater good of the team. The effort, energy, and athleticism were always there.

If Kerry stays productive, he's probably in line for a nice contract extension in the offseason.

Coop was cut by the Giants tonight, BTW.

Sorry to hear about that about Coop, but not surprised -- he had the talent, but seemed to be injured way to often. Wish him the best.
