Kass Weaver

Read the article this morning, not knowing it was UR's Kass Weaver. The situation is tragic for his wife and quite obviously the child, not for Kass though, who appears to be the perpreatrator of gross domestic violence and I'm sure it will be determined if he was responsible for a 3 years death and then putting him in a freezer for two years. Disgusting.

same here, read the article early this morning and didn't even make the connection that he was a former Spider. Just awful.

Awful news.

I hope our poster KWeaver is ok, presumably just a tribute name if that.

I'm trying to remember. Isn't he in South America?

He was in Ecuador for quite some time, but not sure if he's still there.

And now was the story removed for an update, but before the update?

Truly horrific story, and gut-wrenching that it involves a Spider. It sure sounds like there were some deep-rooted mental issues involved here, which of course doesn't really matter at this point. But no sane person behaves the way he apparently did. Didn't really know him at UR but he seemed like the All-American type kid. A tragedy all around.

Never got to know Kass, was excited when he transferred in from Wisconsin and he certainly performed well on the court. Was shocked and disgusted to learn of this story and especially the UR connection.

Interesting that they pulled the UR connection story. JOC tweeted again a bit ago to link to the original news story. Wonder if folks at UR complained about the bad publicity and somehow talked the RTD into taking it down.

Yeah, I don’t know…doesn’t make much sense for the story to disappear, so I was just trying to come up with an explanation. Would be surprising for the RTD to cave to a UR complaint, so maybe that’s not it, but then I really have no idea why they pulled it.

At the end of the day, what difference does it make where Weaver went to school? He is a total eff up!

Was this also him? Has he been having trouble for 20 years?

that story shares info that others couldn’t find. Hard to believe that the firearm offenses mentioned in the style weekly article are not coming up in the RTD and other news reporting. Seems pretty easy to do a criminal record check these days.

working on changing name. Sent a note to 05…. Have to come up with something! Surprisingly this is something I did not have on my list of things to do, and I still feel oddly weirded out by this all!! :)

Maybe there was a misspelling.

This is revolting and vile. My guess is he will get what's coming to him in jail because that crap even breaks the code amongst the lowest of the low.

I honestly don’t remember this guy. He must have played in the mid nineties when I took my hiatus from UR sports.

Does that mean you missed Tarrant's final year?
And never knew any of the players Weaver played with - Kenny Woods, Chris Fleming, Michael Hodges, Eugene Burroughs, or Gerald Jarmon?

He and Hodges are who got Dooley that 14-14 record Dooley's first year.

I always thought Weaver and Hodges came in together as a package deal, but that was Ty Evans and Weaver replaced him.

Never knew anything about his personality or that he stopped speaking with his parents for a decade.

All I knew was that just like John Davis on defense, he had an incredible first lateral step on offense to help with his outside shot.

Never knew there was a monster among us...

I looked back and I was not around for 92-93, 93-94, and 94-95 seasons. Got married and was out of town for awhile. Still paid for the dang tickets, haha! I did miss Coach Tarrant’s last year I believe.

September 1992 to March 1995 was quite a honeymoon...
