Unfortunately the writer seems to have not watched the team and just wrote the article based on stat sheets.
Pretty bland review - but in all honesty - we have not given anyone any reason to believe we are a sure fire NCAA team. 2 years ago - season was cut short to COVID, and we were probably 50/50 on making it and then last season we beat Kentucky, then went downhill from there to limping into the NIT. Last 2 seasons we probably had our best rosters on paper since the NCAA years - and we "maybe" made an NCAA tourney, and made an NIT.
So this year - we basically have everyone returning (Lose Francis gain Sherod) - so why would any outsider trust UR to be a tourney lock?.
I think we are good enough to win the A10 this year, something we can't say very often - but I also think we are streaky enough to hit a bad patch - and end up 4th-5th in league. I think at worse we make the NIT. Best case scenario we make the NCAA tourney as a 10-11 seed.
