UR beats the Tribe and Madison losses at home for second year in a row in playoffs. Beautiful day
JMU lost to Colgate 44-38. They went for it at 4th and 2 on the 2 yard line and did not score. They are toast.
The couple JMU fans I know we're talking national championship caliber team before our game with them. Losing to Colgate at home is probably not the ending they had in mind. Oh well.
How 'bout that Patriot League baby? Every now and then those smart kids can play.

I agree Mo. It's going to be hard to outscore all your opponents next year without Lee. That Puke D is horrible. You simply cant win conference championships and playoff games with a defense that bad. The scary part for Madison is they dont have the personnel on D to have a major turn around. Their defensive line is way undersized and gets knocked off the ball snap after snap.
QB for 'Gate Jake Melville is a very good 2 dimensional player.He's a junior and will be in the Brickhouse on 9/21/16.His outstanding plays were a primary reason why they beat JMU.

What was really amazing is he referred to Colgate as Colgate instead of "our opponent" - he has come a long way............
Like a little Belechek. Part of there job is to do media pressers, in that job they represent the University. Would not want my university to be represented like this. It is childish and immature. I'm sure if he responds like this in public, his private interactions with players, coaches, administrators is similar. Not the type of guy, I would want coaching my kids.
a lot of coaches get chippy with the press, even saban, seems that there is a personal deal with the one questioner and maybe precipitated his demeanor. also, the guy's season just ended and he has not has the time to digest it yet, tough timing. not taking up for him all just some thoughts.
I'm not seeing it. I think I recognize the questioner from previous pressers. Banal, insipid questions. Now if it's the kid from the student paper Withers should probably cut him a break, or even give him an interview and some pointers.

They won a lot of games by putting up more points than a crappy defense gives up. At the end of the season that formula couldn't be sustained. At some point you can't expect the offense to overcompensate for a weak defense. They got bit just like last year by Liberty...one & done.
