Let’s get some chatter going about our 1st game of 2019!
This team is in the Pioneer League and offers no football scholarships
Let the info begin????

especially being our first nite game!!!
UR 34-JAX 3 the real test is in boston the following week

lots of question marks for the team to work through -- I like your prediction, hope its right and we get plenty of time to play both first and second string to get a true feel for were we are

Nice game for start of season with new(?) qb and offensive philosophy, I assume. If struggle to run the ball, could foretell start of long season. Excited about night game but I approach season with limited expectations.

Of course I"d like to a Spider victory here. The games I really want in the win column are the final two: JMU and W&M!

When do they announce the season's TV schedule? Didn't the ADept produce some of the home games last year on NBC Sports DC?

Attendance for this one will be a challenge!

Tomcoll35 thanks for the info It is great having y’all as Spiders can’t wait for the season to start and have y’all over to our tailgate

Great to hear that togetherness of players parents. The last time that was happening, we
made the playoffs consistently and won a National Championship

The incoming freshman class has become very close. The earlier committed players formed a Snap Chat group to stay in touch. As each player committed they too joined the group. By the time they all signed they had a pretty good online relationship going. All but 3 of them are currently enrolled in the Bridge to Success program and living together in Gray Hall. On move in day the boys were going around greeting each other like they have been teammates for a couple of years. The upperclassmen who were on campus came around and helped us move the boys in and made them feel welcome. Some of the OL guys are living off campus and had the freshmen over to hangout their first weekend there. I see a team that is growing very close. When that happens guys want to play for each other and not let their teammates down. Great atmosphere for winning.
That is great. This is one of the rare upsides of social media.

Maybe we would have had more success "back in the day" if all the guys had Compuserve and dial-up modems.
