I like this pick up. Good size for a shooter. 3 point numbers were not great last season, but based on previous season - and his FT% I think he can be a very nice threat and make some shots for us.
yeah, Nelson's the only guy under 6'4"!We are going to have our biggest team maybe ever next year. Interesting.
Crazy ...I like it and also like 2 seasons left for Isaiah.yeah, Nelson's the only guy under 6'4"!
At 6’7” 200 lbs I expect he’ll see most of his minutes at the 4. Cayo is 6’7” 225 lbs. It’s possible Bigelow could bulk up a bit more this summer but I’d expect he plays the 4 in a more “small ball” lineup, and Grace plays the 4 when we want to go bigger.Welcome aboard. In the long rangy guard/wing category (2/3) we already have Dji, Goose, Burton, Crabtree who will be getting significant minutes and then also Randolph, Dread, and Noyes who will also be ranging for minutes. So, I don't see the need for another player who fits in here.
Would have thought we would be targeting front court players (4's) or a lights out shooter, with there 2 remaining spots. He looks like he has talent but again we have lots of players with similar skill sets who play the same position.
He's been in college 4 years now, would suspect that if he were going to bulk up that he would have bulked up by now. But I guess that is possible. Burton is already just as tall, bigger and stronger, so if the goal is to play Bigelow at the 4, why not just Burton there. At 6’7” 200 lbs I expect he’ll see most of his minutes at the 4. I like what someone called him a 4 that plays small ball.Bigelow looks to have added 15 pounds during his time at Wofford...came in at 185 and now at 200.
Agree I don’t expect him to bulk up, but it’s possible. My main point is I think he can play 2, 3, or 4. Which I hope leaves us open to take the best available transfer we can get with our final spot, regardless of positionHe's been in college 4 years now, would suspect that if he were going to bulk up that he would have bulked up by now. At the 4, really???? He's a 2/3 as 97 said.At 6’7” 200 lbs I expect he’ll see most of his minutes at the 4. Cayo is 6’7” 225 lbs. It’s possible Bigelow could bulk up a bit more this summer but I’d expect he plays the 4 in a more “small ball” lineup, and Grace plays the 4 when we want to go bigger.
Don’t worry.. someone will throw a wet blanket on it shortly😂😂🤷🏼♂️This is really exciting, I don’t remember ever being this excited during an offseason!
Just kidding… I couldn’t resist 😂Don’t worry.. someone will throw a wet blanket on it shortly😂😂🤷🏼♂️
If you disagree that’s fine, just saying what I think. When have we ever played a 6’7 guy as a 2? Sal got spot minutes at the 5 the past few years at 215 pounds. Why can’t Isaiah get some minute at the 4 at 200 pounds? At the 4, really???? He's a 2/3 as 97 said.
Would be an interesting lineup, but my guess is that he will be backing up Burton and Grace. Not sure we will see all 3 on the court together often.I don't think he is a post-up guy. But there's no reason we couldn't have a lineup with him, Burton, Grace, Crabtree and Bailey at times, or something like that. Label them whatever positions you want.
Well, he played a. 6'6" point guard his first year here. Just because someone is tall doesn't mean they are viable at the 4/5. And yes, look at Sal all you want...If you disagree that’s fine, just saying what I think. When have we ever played a 6’7 guy as a 2? Sal got spot minutes at the 5 the past few years at 215 pounds. he was the 2nd biggest guy on the floor at Wofford, so he's presumably been guarding other team's 4's.At the 4, really???? He's a 2/3 as 97 said.
Rebounds maybe??? Nah, just dreaming. We are going to have our biggest team maybe ever next year. Interesting.
I’ll stay the same for now 😀 You?SpiderDad, what’s your revised starting 5? Any
I don't see anyway Bigelow wouldn't start. Based on last year's numbers, he is 3rd in scoring (8.3) behind Burton (16.1) and Quinn (14.7). Number 4 is Goose (4.5). He is also 3rd in rebounding (5.5) behind Burton (7.7) and Quinn (7.4). Number 4 is Goose (2.5). He is 2nd for assists (1.4) behind Quinn (4.0) He is second for FT% (85) behind Grace (87 on somewhat low volume)SpiderDad, what’s your revised starting 5? Any changes?
Grace doesn't start but backs up Quinn & Bigelow. Backs them up 17 minutes each...I don't see anyway Bigelow wouldn't start. Looks pretty clear to me we have Quinn/Burton/Bigelow/Gustavson in the starting lineup after this aquisition. Quinn replaces Golden and Bigelow replaces Cayo. Already 2 inches taller than last year plus more at the PG spot. Grace is your 4/5 backup. Crabtree is your Wing backup. Bailey and Nelson in competition for that starting PG spot, and Bailey can also backup Gustavson at the 2. That's 8 guys. Randolph and hopefully at least one of the Freshman will be ready to step in for injuries.
