Now that the regular season is over I thought it would be a good time to ask. I received an email from someone inquiring about writing for the blog. So here is my shameless plug.
The SpiderHoopBlog will being undergoing a massive renovation. Next year, I want to add more content than ever. I'm moving the blog to WordPress so I can add more writers and look more professional. Last time I asked I didn't really have any incentives to write, other than doing it out of love for the Spiders. Next year will be very different.
A PR firm by the name of Purple Strategies has partnered with the A10 for a "blogger outreach" initiative. This outreach includes: press passes, game tickets, conference calls with coaches and conference leaders, and much more. This adds a whole new aspect to the blog.
As for writing, my goal is to get 4-5 writers on staff. The schedule I created isn't too demanding. I want to do previews and recaps for each game, and I also would like to mix in feature articles. Feature articles include topics like player spotlights, questions or keys regarding the Spiders, or just general observations that can be turned into an interesting article.
