noticed Hampton's last game was against Cal-State bakersfield. It was CSB's first Division 1 win-Buckingham doesn't look like he's starting... evidently hurt his hip and is now coming off the bench.

We owe them after getting MEAC'd down there by refs during Ole Jer era. I was there. Not sure if that was last time we played down there or not.

GK I was there also, lighting was horrible, and the refs were worse. Jer had said he wanted to give them a game to help them out, but no more after that showing.

Tafon Mainsah broke a fibula on a sucker shot by a Pirate offensive WR in 2015.DR also had to have linesperson removed from sidelines after disparaging remarks and intentionally incorrectly placing yard markers In Hampton’s favor.

Thanks for the reminder, I recall the marker issue, but Tafon.

Ha! has the program turned around far enough in this promising start for this to be called a "trap" game?

can't recall the last time we had one...

so far the team has been able to win the games it should win...that's a characteristic of good teams...

hope we play with a chip on our shoulder...

Go Spiders!

Hampton’s best player Marrow is out 3-4 weeks with a thumb injury.
That's the dude the dropped like 40 on us last year. I don't take anything for granted with Mooney as the captain of this ship, but we should roll Hampton.

Don't exaggerate it was only 38...

Did he get hurt against Buckingham? He has played 157 of their 160 minutes against D1.
With Fisher who had 27 last year having graduated, that means 65 of their 86 points last year won't be there this week.

We are favored by 11, seems pretty fair based on recent history plus Grant and Nate's injuries.

I'm biased of course but I think we will win more handily than that. I think the guys are motivated right now and will look to come out and dominate. Jacob's speed and ball handling overwhelms Hampton and Nick gets his stroke back and we win by 20 or so.
