"Got a chance to go 16-2, if you win all your games. That’s a hell of a conference season, 16-2. It’s a possibility.”

And VCU isn't even good, as evidenced by last night, when they played their first legit team in awhile and got destroyed.

God damn you guys are just so excited and hopeful that we’ll keep losing games. Pathetic to see fans salivating thinking about future losses and getting giddy about losing. At least pretend like you want us to win

I want us to win. I bought tickets, and flights, and a hotel room in a couple weeks because I love Richmond basketball and I want us to win. But I also want change. I think that we deserve better.

To your point, I’ll admit that I find myself conflicted watching games, knowing losing helps towards change but wanting to see us win. At the end of the day, winning wins for me. But some how losing (unfortunately) has turned into a win as well.

I’m still trying to figure out why anyone would think we would go 16-2 in conference. Before the season even started that was ridiculous,
much less after we started 0-2.

Please pass the peyote.

I think the "best class ever" stuff from a few years ago fooled alot of people, including the players. Chris made that statement and it bought him patience and time from the administration, a portion of the fanbase ... and also a group of players that, otherwise, would have transferred. Because, well, lots and lots of college basketball players transfer.

It would be interesting to know if Chris actually meant it ... Or if he was just, shrewdly. buying everyone's collective patience at that time. Personally, I see a bunch of impressive "stat accumulators" that actually represent mid-level A10 talent. Certainly not a group that can rattle off anywhere close to 16 in a row, as they seem to have believed.

Unfortunately my indifference has peaked...I used to yell at games, bang seats, and get pissed off when we lost.....I feel none of that emotion anymore...it's sad
I feel much like you. I make no bones about wanting to see change and have for several years now. However, I find myself hating on Mooney less and hating on the school's administration and their apparent stance on athletics more and more. As the years go by I find myself less interested in anything going on over there. They talk out of both sides of their mouth.

The feeling I have about going to UR sporting events these days is like how it would feel if you went back to your hometown after 20 years and found a bunch of your high school friends all living in the same houses they did back then and going out to the same places you all went when you were in high school. Cringe-worthy.
