I mean…if we’re dreaming. Final 4 or Elite 8 appearance would get both Gilyard & Golden in the rafters
Maybe my favorite Spider ever to watch. Bulldog attitude, incredible quickness and skill.

We had seats right behind press row, across from UR bench. Three Davidson fans next to us. One is really obnoxious - right before the national anthem, Gilyard is probably 15 feet from us. Obnoxious Davidson fan waits until it’s quiet, and lays into Gilyard. You’re 39 years old, blah blah blah. Gilyard turns around, looks at the guy - and asks him “Are you a virgin?”
We went bonkers. Hysterical.

Matt Grace is GOAT. Apparently Mooney has been holding him down on the bench.
That is funny, he damn sure was on point, no moment was too big for him and pulled us up by the bootstraps several times. And yes, Matty Effing Grace is a legend now. Hope Moon is on the phone lining him up some NIL deals for next season.
May be too late for 5 star signings, but I'm sure that this run has opened up the eyes of some folks in the transfer portal.
He did not. But that is not a metric for "Kneepad's favorite ever Richmond player to watch." I would have loved to watch him get a chance to play in the tourney. Same with TJ Cline.

Talked to Gilyard's grandfather the first game he played in the Robins Center. After telling me about his grandson and his family I thought we are really fortunate to have him as a Spider. My opinion became more entrenched as Gilly's playing years have unfolded and observed his persistence and determination.
Kid played the last 4 games with some serious stones. Put the team on his back and carried them. Well done.
TJ was crying with joy at end of game. Loved the emotion.
