Gilly vs Fatts

I find this to be one of the best player match ups in the A10. Both diminutive PG's. Both juniors. Both having great seasons. Both the straw that stirs the drink on teams that could challenge for A10 title.

I think Gilly is a little better so far, but Fatts and the light blue rams have a mindset to protect their house:


We could look at stats, but my take is: Fatts is very much more looking to score and take first available shot. Which he is good at. Active and gets a lot of steals.

Gilly is a notch above, he can score as much as needed, but understands how to manage the game better and involve teammates, AND can take over the scoring as needed. Really looking forward to this match up for the team and these two players.

Gilyard is straight up a better player in a better team than Fatts. It isn't just a 'notch above'. Fatts has been really good this year, and is the best player on his team, but what Gilyard has done so far this season has been truly extraordinary in nearly every facet of the game.

Neither of them will be A10 POY, that goes to Obi Toppin who will likely be a top 10 NBA draft pick.
