Doesn't have much to do with the season this year but we have played them in past years and have(or had) a similarly skilled team to us this year.

Apparently, 3 players were charged. Only one of them was dismissed from the team. The other guy who is transferring, apparently just wanted out. The Ewing era is off to a shaky start.

These kids will go to another P5 program as they were putting up good numbers before they got kicked off.

We have a hard enough time with admissions getting kids into UR, so even if they called Mooney and said they would do anything to come to UR - admissions would deny them.

Plus - do we even have any room next year? Unless someone transfers - we lose no one.

I think times are changing and any player with an assault charge is going to be passed over by a large number of programs. ADs and college presidents don't want that type of exposure.

Damn. That is candid as heck. Surprisingly that a coach would rip another teams former player like that. But, I guess Boeheim can pretty much say what he wants these days.

Wow, that kid has quite a rep. Another college team I follow had a thread started on Akinjo on their message board - and a couple of the posters stated the same sentiment about him. Will be interesting to find out where he ends up. Sounds like Boheim would have liked his odds better if he stuck around for another game

He was averaging 4.4 assists per game, so he was passing the ball to someone. Come on Boeheim. Maybe you should look in the mirror and ask how a depleted Gtown team beat you. Worry about your own team dude.

Actually, Boeheim is being very supportive of Patrick Ewing. Some of these narcissistic recruits that are coming out of the AAU programs have no clue what the word “team” means. Gary Williams retired at Maryland because he wasn’t going to kiss the ass of teenage boys. One of Gary’s best friends, Jim Boeheim.

I've watched Akinjo enough to know I don't want him on Richmond. He absolutely dominates the ball, and absolutely takes horrid shots most of the game. His 4.4 assists are like Russell Westbrook circa Thunder days' 4.4 assists. If you have the ball every single possession, every once in a while your reluctant pass after you've dribbled for 22 seconds finds a teammate that scores.
