A great takeaway from game 1 was the team getting to the line 32 times, including 28 times by members of what appears to be the 9 man rotation, who shot 22-28.

Thought it would be good to track bc it’s likely a sign of the team’s offensive aggressiveness on a game by game basis, and is a repeatable way for guys to generate easy points. Especially from the lead guards.

Great that Quinn went 4-4 as well.

On a related subject, quite concerned that we may not have a sponsor this year for the 2nd half 2 free throw miss promotion .. at least on Mon night, we didn't hear the normal free Bojangles or Tacos announcement .. hopefully, this will be fixed by Saturday since one of the best parts of the gameday experience for my side of the arena at least.

Speaking of promotions, how do you feel about the "Wawa three pointer"? Don't mind their sponsorship. but the announcers "That's a Wawa three pointer by..." got to be obnoxious I thought.

Missed that one since was at the game - radio or TV? yes would find annoying .. perhaps not quite as bad as the LaSalle crazy "Pow" guy after almost every made shot

No, it was the PA announcer at the game. Took me a while to figure out what he was saying, but once I did, I thought it was annoying.

Not sure but I think the last 3 seasons have been much better at FT to FG than previous seasons.

Oh and I am waiting for the WaWaWa 3 pointer...

Wow. Would not have thought it would be that consistent, with virtually no outliers. 5 years of Gilly et al and then last year’s results stayed the same?

Again, if King/Hunt can utilize their speed - we’ve heard so much about speed this offseason - to get to the line a bunch, those are free points that are sustainable game to game. Bigelow can/should do it more too, he and Roche are money from the line and Bigs should have a quickness edge over most 4s guarding him.

And I too wondered why there wasn’t a free throw promotion. Always a popular one in terms of crowd noise. That being said, they were handing something out at the exits but I did not see or get anything as I was out the door before I noticed.

Last, I was surprised there were no concession specials (not that the past ones have been great) and there appears to be none listed in the promo section of the athletics web site.

Only 15 FT attempts (10 makes) in game 2. Spiders did make a ton of shots all night from the field though
