The Spider has landed.Pretty good headwinds turned it into a little over 5 hour flight with max speed(not for long)at 460mph.

Tried to hitch a ride out of RIC but no dice.
Even with an offer for an additional Spider Club donation.BTW not dissatisfied.Disappointed yes.There is at least one other athletic coach looking out the window in a serious way for the same reason.The inability to communicate through proper chemistry whether it be in athletics or business creates a broken environment.Leaders require depth in order to lead effectively.
Many alums are done with UR going forward if DR leaves.Someone can take my parking slot in B3 and the blue seats next year.If DR leaves my unused basketball tix will immediately go on sale including season parking in B6 AUX.Highest bidder wins.I'll be done.

Hope you are a Founder level donor but you are an avid fan for sure. Athletic leadership is strong. Sports' success across the board is good. For you it is all about football and basketball and true for most. Mooney contract executed before Gill. We all want Rocco to remain! Coach did not make his "vision" known before going to the press. It never works when subordinates go public to negotiate or attack their boss. Doesn't work in the military, pro sports, NCAA or Corporate board room. Do you know what Coach Rocco's vision is? Or did you jump on the band wagon because he said publicly the administration doesn't support his vision?
Never saw where Rocco attacked anyone. I don't think he's ever mentioned Gill or the position of AD. What's Gill's vision for football. I've not seen it published. You're absolutely right, it should have never played out in the press, especially Delaware newspapers. Gill, et al fell asleep at the wheel. It appears to me that Rocco has done his job better than Gill but that's just me.

Listen to how the Prez of UD and AD of UD approach the intended interaction and enthusiasm of athletics and its impact on the overall visibility and viability of the university.That's what DR is looking for,particularly for football.It doesn't exist at UR.Take a closer look and listen to the new UD AD and its new Prez.Both people want their athletic programs to become the Welcome Mat to their school.Lots of AD vision will be the engine
for that to happen.Did I say vision?
Don't forget the new AD signed a 2 game home and home with the Bizon in 2018,2019.
A ballsey move but great for season tix sales,increased alumni contributions,heightened interest in football and increased visibility for the school.Hyperaggresive vision for a newcomer with only 3 months on the job at the time.

I really feel sorry for our kids, they are an unbelievable group of student athletes. To be dealt this blow in their finest moment is disgraceful! I am embarrassed by the folks who run the school that I dearly love. And if Lknspider is going to chime in and tell me how stupid and wrong I am, then he better be prepared to tell me what is really going on. I'm sick of you people who keep going on and on about knowing what is REALLY going on, and not telling us anything.
I'm assuming the coaches are going to want that field as red as possible come game time for their passing game. With no snow in the forecast until tomorrow, unless EWU lacks the maintenance resources, I assume the field will be freshly plowed and cleared for the game. When I get to the stadium in a couple of hours I'll try to post a picture of the field in here if I can figure that out on the fly.
LKN, don't know who you are on here but probably know you or have met you and have to agree, you need to say your piece and give us what you know as opposed to just to just criticizing those who are making statements. hope that when the dust settles you are correct, DR remains and all will be great going forward but if he departs, you got some splaining to do ricky.

I'm a 79 year old widow whose husband,Harry,was a 1957 UR graduate.I live in the upper east side in a 2 bedroom flat with 24/7 doormen.Harry provided well and I keep his ashes in a red and blue colored marble urn over the fireplace mantle.
I live with 6 cats,all named Harry.Kind of a George Foreman thing.Harry met Danny before he passed and thought the world of him.
He said he was the best thing UR had going for it.Harry and I agree on everything.Does that help explain who I am although I believe your inquiry was quite irrelevant and reflected a bit of a snooty attitude.
