Here's the AGS poll. Considering all our injuries this year, #7 ain't too shabby.

By my count, we'll have 8 starters back on offense and 8 starters back on defense, plus both specialists. Sound about right?

Lost Evans, Vergos, Brown, Craig, Howard, Jones/Mack. Did i forget anyone?

We were #3 in AGS preseason poll behind NDSU and UNI and moved up to #2 after UVA win.

We were #4 preseason in both STATS and Coaches, and finished #8 in both of those polls.

Obviously, i know why you might say this but i suspect those Kats will have a chip on their shoulder after the throttling you gave them. Playing down there in 100 degree heat and 100% humidity in late August probably won't help either.

They might have a chip on their shoulder, but that won't make up for the fact that they aren't good enough to actually beat legit top 10 FCS teams. You guys will blow them out and then they'll go on to run through their sorry conference and cry when they aren't #1 again.

You might be right but Sammy State has won plenty of playoff games in the past. They embarrassed themselves against you guys but they've been a tough out in the playoffs most other years.

I suppose, maybe a little recency bias with them getting smoked the past two playoffs when they finally played a real team. I do expect you guys to blow them out though, I honestly don't think you've got much to worry about.

I get why you're saying that - but I promise - Elon has more talent than they do. Briscoe is NOT good and will fold after any pressure. Their receivers are soft and your D will eat them up. With the talent you return I will be betting HEAVILY on the Spatters.

They have the second most playoff wins (8) of any program over the past four years. It's not as if they haven't beaten anybody.
If you go back five years they look even better as they made the NC as an unseeded team.

That said, I like our chances. I think the CAA as a whole was underrated last year.
