Dumpster fire

I like settling into a 7 or 8 man rotation, but my goodness, early in the year it certainly doesn't hurt to play 9 or 10 and figure things out. And, someone tell Andrew to do more homework. It was only 2 years ago that Bennett played 10 and never could figure out the right rotation with that team. And, wasn't the complaint in past years lack of depth.? Now, Andrew says he should have been fired for playing too many guys?

lol. we complain for years that Mooney doesn't use the bench. then he does for a game (which we won), and he's wrong for using the bench.

really only 8 guys played a lot. 2 more played 7 minutes each. 4 of the starters played over 30 minutes.

Exactly. Our bench guys played 17, 16, 13, 7, and 7 minutes in an OT game. Andrew has no clue what he is talking about here

Yeah I didn't agree with subbing comment either, it was just interesting to see a media member outright say Mooney should be or should have been fired.

I think pretty much everyone here knew and expected us to play 10 this game and probably every game unless Matt and or Sal lose their time, which I don't expect.

Nick played a little more than expected off the injury but tough to take him out when he shoots like that. Nathan might have gotten more time without the fouls. and I need more Burton. kinda want more Woj too but that might just be a reaction from the 2 for 2. he's a shooter.

Andrew Wallace is the only one stating this as far as I have seen. How playing 9 players was detrimental to the game is beyond me. The beginning of the season is exactly when coaches should be trying different combinations of players in my opinion.

Yep. It's as if he saw the Virginia-Syracuse box score and couldn't wait to take a shot at Mooney. And then posting their box and our in game box during the tweet? Beyond strange.

Drew said he'd call for Mooney's firing if we didn't go .800 against our "pillow-soft" OOC schedule last season. He then walked it back.
Next he said he'd call for Mooney's firing if we didn't make the A10 final (or semifinal, can't remember). He walked it back again.

It looks like he thought we were going to open a third straight season with an awful Quad 4 loss, so he wanted to make sure he got back on the "I've been saying Mooney should have been fired all along" bus. There are plenty of reasons Mooney should have been fired already; going 10-deep in Game 1 isn't at the top of the list.

He also said "Meanwhile UR can’t score yet alas they don’t understand how to manage a game to keep a lead" in response to a VCU leads 40-33 tweet.. And this: "without Nick and Jake where the hell would this team be". I guess he is talking Gilyard. Well, duh, where would just about any team be without two of their best players? What a dumb a** he is. Just an attention seeking dumb a** that does not have a clue. Too bad for him we won and ruined his night.

Favored by 5 points today on the home floor. Lose by 16. At Davidson and at Mason. I smell trouble. Blake Francis injured.

The good years are hard to remember. I liked it when Coach was allowed to kick ass and say what he wanted. Every body all about feelings. I say Coach just kick ass again and forget about the crying you hurt my feelings you are bad crycry. Then you can do TV if you want.

Who doesn't love this guy? I would love to see Fezz on the bench in Mooney's ear, making sure his clothes are coordinated and his shoes are shined...

Losing again to VCU seems like a normal thing nowadays. Also missing the NCAA tournament. Hang up nine years without a bid. Could careless about the NIT. Who settles for second place?

At this rate Mooney isn't making himself appealing to some sucker P5 school, and hes not losing enough to be fired. Just means more mediocrity for the foreseeable future.
