Total game we were 5-10. I cant recall us trying a 3 pointer the whole second half but could be wrong. 10 attempts is one of our lowest of the season. Good shooters seemed to pass up open threes. Sdj had looks at three, passed them up then tried to drive amongst the trees and looked silly. Was that another strategic decision by cm u think? If so just another thing that causes players to get tight not playing their normal game.

We tend to rely on the 3 point shot, so I don't think its that bad we only took 10. So many games we have settled for deep shots, but our offense did a better job of getting layups and working down low.

IMO, we scored plenty, we just can't give up 70 to anybody. Everyone of us knew that you can't let Melvin Johnson beat you and we let him do it. He is streaky and we should have been all over him.

Agree with K that we scored plenty. Don't agree that we change defense. I let a guy shoot from 25+ all day, he's not normally going to hit 50%, but today he did. If we bite on covering him out there it really makes our D less effective.

He had a great game. We play that game again I don't think it goes their way.

1 for 4 on treys in the second half so you are partially correct, only hit 1 but attempted more.

The one 3-pointer we made 2nd half was at very end of the game by Kendall. Wish SDJ had taken a couple of those open looks he had on the perimeter. Have to be fearless to play this game and hope he hates this feeling so much that he'll be ready to knock down 1 or 2 of those late in any remaining games this year and next 2 seasons as the "floor general". Have confidence he can do it. He just has to have confidence in himself in those situations.

The one 2nd half three was Kendall's three in the last 10 seconds, so we really hit none in the second half.

I have no specific problems with anyone this game. Mooney was fine and so were the kids.

This group lacks the killer instinct as someone else said. Hard to say why - - hard to say its just coaching or just the players. Most likely a little bit of a "perfect storm" with players that maybe lack a little confidence and then coaching that in many ways sort of feeds that rather than building them up. My sense is that this group needs a lot of nurturing and positive build up and that's not CM's way. He a fear guy (as are a lot of great coaches) and as a result he group just lacks in this area.

I did not think this was right so I went back to the the play by play -- first half we were 4-6 on 3 pointers. In the second half we were 1-4. Sdj missed at 14:30, Zo missed at 13:42, TA missed 6:05, and K0 made at :02.

I sure wish TA, TD, DT and ANO would stop shooting 3's. It's just a turn over. Why don't they dribble in two steps and take a 15 footer???

Dre passed up two open look three pointers in the second half that had me scratching my head. We wound up scoring nothing in both of those possessions.

Been watching Spider basketball for over 50 years and do not remember us scoring ZERO from the free throw line. Just make 4 crummy fts and we win the game

A GW poster said we had 40 points in the paint but only 5 FTs. That seems unusual, but they do swallow whistle at tournament time.

Urmite. They only swallowed the whistle on our end. They shot 19 free throws.
