I know we are nine months away from the season and the date has not been settled yet, but I think the Spidernation needs to make a statement and take a field trip up to Newark next year. We need to show Huesman and our program the proper support for our programs vision and let Rocco know what he left behind. Road games are more fun anyway!

I know we can get a YUUUGE crowd either via bus or car brigade to this game. I would like it to be our biggest road crowd ever, they have the seats to do it.

Thoughts....?What do we need to do to make this happen?

I will check the VT schedule next year and if there is no home game that week I will try to make it me and my Dad at the game.
 
I will go but won't spend the night up there. Can't risk the family.
 
So, the more I think about it, the more important I think it is to have a LARGE number of fans at this game. If I can help make it happen, I want to.

Would there be any interest if we took a coach bus (AKA #RussBus) from the RC up to the game? We could pack the tailgate supplies under the bus, serve drinks on the bus and buy tickets to the game for $20 (50+ people group rate on the 40 yard line).

What I need from you:
  1. Would you be interested in doing something like this for a break-even cost? Price would include ticket, all you could eat, all you could drink and a coach bus to the game.
  2. Would people be willing to crowd-source items like coolers, tailgate grills, etc?
  3. Would anyone and/or their company be willing to make a donation to sponsor the tailgate to defer costs and lower the price for those wanting to go?

05 like you thinking -- I will try to join this group, but need to know more about schedule, etc before making a final decision. SC used to make bus trips like this, and they were great fun and a great way to meet more Spider fans.

Love the idea and thanks for the sticky!

I would also like to suggest maybe trying to get students involved with this.We need to grow our fanbase within the school and perhaps engaging more with the students as alumni will help. It would be a great opportunity to network with "Professional" Spiders. Perhaps more of an incentive to go to the games for them?

Cheerleaders have gone on the road in the past....any chance we can make a special request?

Know there are a few on here but are they're any students that would like to get a group involved?

This should be a must go to for every die hard spider fan. Every fan from Richmond to NY should be going to this game if they can make it. I love to show how much we support Huesman and let our former coach know what he left behind and that hes not going to have it better at Delaware.

Tickets to this game are starting to float around on Stub Hub.

Has anyone seem anything from our ticket office on road ticket requests yet? I'd think there are a couple that will be in high demand.
 
From UD:

Single game tickets for the 2017 Delaware Football season will go on sale to the general public August, 1st. Season ticket members will have the ability to purchase additional tickets on a single game basis during the season ticket member presale (dates to be determined) in order to access the best available seats.
