Dayton falls to Lasalle

If Dayton scores 80 we lose if they score 60 we have a chance. But Dayton is now due for a win.

So apparently there was some really long delay (imagine that) while they reviewed things. And they assessed double technical fouls that I guess offset, but there was also a foul with 0.1 seconds remaining. La Salle went to the line and made 1 to win 62-60. The entire time, ESPN's scoreboard had it as Final at 61-60.

I wonder if SF can find a recap or box score for 1/16/1991 UR at Navy?

I still remember both teams shooting 2 free throws after the final buzzer. We (Connolly) make both they (Reddick?) miss both, we win.
I'd like to find out if that was a dream...

Collegian article on the game has it differently: Spiders were down one when Connolly got fouled with 6 seconds left. Made both to go up one. Navy was fouled at the buzzer and missed both.

Oddly, Lunardi hasn't dropped Dayton any...they were also eighth team out in his bracket coming into today.

Dammit!

I always remember it as Navy being up 1, the ball is loose on the floor, Connolly and a Navy player wrestle for it, and won't give it to the ref.

So clock runs out, and ref calls two Tech foul shots for each...

More exciting my way, lol.

I am still taking Dayton even after losing today. We haven't shown any ability to change the way we play. Anthony Grant will have his guys ready.

It gets better...with UVA's loss, he's actually moved Dayton UP a spot.

Lunardi picked Dayton as his surprise team in the NCAAs from the A10 last night during halftime of our game. He has to show them love after crowing on national show.

Not only as his surprise team, but didn’t he say they would win a national title in the next 3 years?
