basketball than us this year.

They also crush us in commercials. Watching the LaSalle game, their commercial is everything ours isn't. Borderline exciting. stimulating, interesting and highlights what makes Davidson unique and better then other schools. Contrast that with ours, a boring thirty seconds which basically outlines what you can do at any University (internships, classes, we have a campus, we have sports teams, and we have some extracurricular activities--yawn!).

Sorry, if anybody on here is somewhat connected our commercial because it's like some of our losses--glaringly bad.

Meanwhile, Davidson's team looks like they just watched our commercial because they have come out sleepwalking against LaSalle.

Didn't see the commercial, but they are getting mashed. Looks like exactly what we did to them at the Rob. Davidson is a better at large win, but I like our chances against La Salle too

Davidson's weakness is interior defense. They don't have anyone who can stop teams that pound the ball inside.

La Salles's big men are 14-16 at the half.
Last time we played Davidson, TA, ANO and TJ went 20-30.

Pound the ball inside and watch the points flow in. Switch on their screens and watch them struggle to hit 3s.

Not matter if LaSalle beats them or not, Davidson is a good team, and they are going to the dance. Our win against them is a good win no matter. I think the Wildcats are a talented, gritty, well-coached team that is dangerous in a tourney setting. I think I would rather play LaSalle next assuming we pound the Lambs.

Watched that entire game and wasn't sure at any point who to root for. Wild finish though. If we win today, playing Davidson seems to be a good matchup for us. We match up well against three-point shooters, even though they have a ton of them. They also have no inside height to speak of, and we do.

Honestly one thing I'm concerned about are the refs. How are they going to call the game. You saw how they piled fouls on Fordham and that time out call that gave davidson the ball at the end was the difference maker. Also piling up fouls on Price. I will be interested to see how it is called. Hopefully in our favor as A10 wants more teams in the tourney.

LaSalle jobbed by the refs, it's the old "Don't screw around with the seeding" officiating again, we saw the same thing yesterday with Lambs vs Red Rams. I hope #4 vs #5 is close enough that it doesn't matter.

Agree on the boooooring UR ad. Students could do way better in an online contest. As for the game, have to give Davidson credit in clawing their way back to the W today. If they got some calls their way, means they were being aggressive and attacking. We saw how a team doing that worked in our game. Can only hope Wildcats have shaken out the cobwebs now and will take VCU to the woodshed again tomorrow. I'm sure McKillop will have them ready.

I actually preferred the UR ad to VCU's. It may be that both ads are effective for the kind of students they seek to attract. They are just very different schools, which serve different populations.

TB, Vault was comparing our ad against Davidson's. For me, it's simply that our ad doesn't show anything special about our school, and I'd much prefer to hear our students in one rather than a narrator.

We've had better ads than this Davidson one in the past. The one we have now is annoying with the screaming "We are UR" in the beginning.
I thought this one was pretty good (a little dated now)

Agree the Davidson commercial is much better than our current one. Also agree our "old" commercial is better...albeit it seems rather amateur to both of them. It's tough, but you need to capture the school in 30 seconds. We should do a better job of that.
