Boy was I wrong. didn't think KJ would play (thank you Mr. Johnson, excellent game) Thought it would be low scoring, (after two first two series and they were up 7-0 I was half convinced we'd lose 14 to 10).

We played very well, but did get/create a few breaks; their turnovers deep in our territory, a few dropped passes, but we out played them and the most bias group of officials I've seen all season. Some absolutely horrible calls.

With enough stuffing and gravy crow isn't that bad.

Not to say anything bad about David Broadus because I like him a lot, but I cannot imagine that he could have performed as well as KJ, not only in the NC A&T game but all year as well. And certainly not to knock Kyle, but I thought that KJ played as well as Kyle did in a few games this year. I thought KJ could run, but I had no idea he could pass so well. The videos provided by 32Counter first opened my eyes as to that aspect of his game, but his performance left no doubt.

Not sure that I understand why it is such a loss for KJ to burn his redshirt this year. I am guessing that he will backup Kyle next year, and unless we really need him, he can get his redshirt then unless another tragedy occurs. Mancuso should be a backup as well next year and he will already have burnt his redshirt so we can use him for backup in nonessential situations which you expect to normally occur within a season.

I realize that KJ was not suited up for the W&M game, but had we had him as our backup all year and ready to go in when Kyle went down, I think that we could have stepped up and won that game. Certainly not blaming the coaches or second guessing them, but seems to me we should always have a backup with skills better than those we had at the W&M game, Dave Broadus included. Broadus could have contributed this season without being the backup QB.

Does anyone have any idea what the coaches think about the future of Joe Mancuso? I understand from what was published when he signed that he has exceptional QB potential. Is he being groomed to take over eventually? Or, are there others in that slot?

I thought they showed KJ in uniform at the W&M game? I could be mistaken.

I don't know about that (KJ=KL). KJ had Brown open several times and couldn't connect until the second half. But he has a ton of talent and poise, and didn't gamble as much as Kyle does at times. We are lucky to have such depth.

I thought KJ was in uniform at W&M?

Mancuso can sling it. It will be an interesting QB competition in '18.
