Im not sure it was mentioned but Crabtree played a key role in this win.

I had said in a post before the game that his D might be very valuable. Now I even think it was genius.

Has there ever been a game CT had played this much? Goose got one foul (maybe 2) and he was yanked.

CT has much more size and it might not have been what they expected on Murray. Great move by Mooney to go w CT more because of his size. When CT was in the game, along with Grace and Golden, we had a HUGE lineup.

he played effectively and did it at the 2. Mooney was reluctant to play him there all year. he's not as quick as Isaiah or Dji but he defends comparably.

I've always expected him to be more of an offensive threat if given time though.

Think he needs more minutes to make an impact offensively. Most guys aren’t able to play 5-10 minutes a game and still score effectively. I’d be open to giving Crabtree Nick’s minutes to see if he can provide more of a spark - Nick has been ice cold lately

He seems to be comfortable now in role mode. Next year expect him to shoot way more. I see him next year as a 10 point a game guy.

Crabtree looks very cool and composed - he seems to get thrown in unexpectedly in high pressure situations (I guess just being an NCAA game is high pressure) and he has played well. Nick has been a great contributor to Richmond basketball, but at this point I feel like Crab needs the minutes. Sherod makes me very nervous on D out there.

Will be very curious to see what role he has next year. As usual, seems like the 2-3 spots are very crowded, between Dji, Wilson and the guys that sat out this year.

Connor, Goose, Isaiah and Dji all defend. I've felt Connor is the best perimeter option offensively. but only if he takes shots. Goose is better on the drive and Dji's has a better handle and vision.

13 minutes is a good amount of time. if he gets that much again I want him to be more aggressive offensively. can't expect Gilly and Tyler to be the only outside scoring threats.

The bench should have been studying while on the bench, having a mental Vision before subbing for someone. Go Spider Bench!!

The question about if Crabtree is back after this year has been discussed on the individual recruits threads and I figured it made more sense to add to a threads dedicated to Conner.

The key factors in no particular order to me are (1) How much does he play this year? Most think he is only going to have a bit role this year, so would he really want to come back yet again for limited minutes? (2) Will he stay heathy? This has been his major issue at UR, he can’t seem to stay on the floor (3) Who does he hang with off court? If his primary friends graduate/leave, why wouldn’t he follow suit. I have no idea who he is closest to on the team, but SpiderDad may know. (4) How does he like grad school and can he complete his degree without another full year of school? (5) What are his after college aspirations? Is he ready to move on to whatever is next?

This post is both extremely informative and a bit creepy (at the same time). Though I did speculate that GG was more likely to return last year as it seemed like his girlfriend was still enrolled.

I am totally in favor of Crabtree deciding for himself what he wants to do. He is a good asset on the court and when he has opportunity has a sweet shot.

Finally a thread dedicated to Crabtree's greatness versus hoping he leaves after this year so we can get some sort of future recruit!!!!

I don’t think this is fair. A lot of the posts on this board in the off-season are dedicated to recruiting scenarios. Whether Crabtree has decided to come back or not is the last big question we can discuss.
Look back at my posts — I love Crabtree and hope he gets a chance to show his potential. He should’ve considered transferring again after the ridiculously bad decision to start Wilson in front of him and Dji for a long period last year.
