Very very tired of Coach’s demeanor in every interview. He’s the person responsible for the team and he constantly rips his players and expresses his frustration while expressing nothing that leads you to believe he thinks he’s in any way responsible for all that frustrates hm.

kJ situation to me epitomizes things. He made mistakes and Coach was very quick to point them out and not at all in a constructive way. And then quick to fully scapegoat him with a benching. How about you coach guys up not put them down.

It’s his job to fix all those things, not just point fingers. Stop whining about things and get it fixed!

So coaches fault Bevels fumbles at goal line or Mancuso overthrows receivers. Coach of DBs should be fired, as most skilled group they are awful. I don't blame coach frustration on poor tackling but our freshmen seem better then our upperclassmen

We have the worst QBs I have ever seen in college football at any level. Sorry if I offend anyone. Sorry to say this because I’m sure they are good kids. But you can not play at this level and throw the ball or make these kinds of poor decisions.

Coaches are supposed to help kids get better. Our problems get worse each week. Yes I blame coaching in part for the state of our team and program. And it would be easier to want to give them the benefit of the doubt and time if the head coach didn’t act like he has been. Lead your group of young men don’t blame them and act like you aren’t responsible. Each player is responsible for his own performance. The fact that we underperform in every way, in every facet, is on the leader. He needs to accept responsibility and get it fixed not blame everyone and everything else.

Hate to say it but Aaron Corp experiment may be a failure.
Hate to say it but the Russ Huesman “let’s hustle to find a coach a day after our previous one left because we’re losing donors” experiment may be a failure.

Sadly - it seems we’ve been snake bitten on Clawson related hires as L Scott didn’t exactly end well either.

Seems that we may just have to go in a completely new direction and just own that it’ll take a couple of years to get enough guys on the roster to make a difference.

I’d love to say that Will Healy should be the guy but not sure we could get him.

Not sure what the root cause is, but this is just not a good football team that hasn’t improved over the course of the season.

I saw kids with little or no enthusiasm. On one play our db showed such a tentative attempt to
tackle the running back I thought I was watching a scared high school player.
There is no question, we have regressed badly.

The team barely made it onto the field in time for the coin toss. As halftime wound down, Villanova ran onto the field and we walked on the field. This team seems to have no interest in playing for the staff. Pretty sad stuff.

This is worst situation I can remember where two starting QBs play so poorly.
6-7 TOs is just pathetic. Daniel Jones is only DB I would keep as all the others are
are soft and don't like to hit. KJ comes in and first two passes are interceptions.
Fire Durden and Corp for we got to be able to be better than these two.

I heard that we have the 9th best recruiting class in FCS coming in. If true maybe give coach a few more years. But I'm all for a new OC.

Wouldn't he be a Clawson related hire as well?

Huesman is not head coach material in CAA. Hardt must pull plug. Doubt he keeps all the recruits. At least JMU beaten

This is the performance we see after a bye week against another struggling opponent... at home? We looked very poorly coached and disorganized today. Mistakes in all 3 phases of the game. Our secondary can’t tackle. Haven’t tackled all season and it hasn’t changed. Keystone cops special teams. Qb’s making horrible decisions with poor fundamentals. It was a beautiful Fall day on campus today that’s the only good thing I can say.

The worse part is it's a team that is getting worse as the season has gone on. We can't fire the team, so at least we should get new OC and DC and QB coach. I lived through the Marshall years and I don't recall a worse game... no discipline, no focus, mistakes upon mistakes, a truly horrible performance. Two QBs that can't see coverages........ Start Reid for the rest of the year. Do not extend Huesman contract, he's in charge of this mess.

I don't want to hear the scholarship excuses. pathetic.

Agreed for an off week, we looked horribly flat with no energy. Special teams again was
horrible with muffed punts received and kicked. I try to figure our game plan and honestly,
we are so disjointed and turn ball over frequently, all is thrown out the window.

I wish we would leave in RBs longer instead running them once and they get no more
carries the rest of the game. I thought Durdens MO was play fast? In my mind that is running
offenses like a 2 minute drill and putting defenses back on their heels.

Is the system right for our players or is the system good and we just do not have the
players to make it work? If the latter we just need to allow another year or two of
recruiting to match the system needs.

Our ship has sailed on Healy. His next stop is somewhere in the FBS realm. We need to fix this mess with someone else, sadly.

Saw Huesman said out coached again. Do something to change it

That was a pathetic effort. Very disappointing. Last year, the defense got considerably better as he season went on. I thought they would be a strong unit this year and it just hasn’t happened. DBs look lost and do not tackle well. Offensively, turnovers are killing us. We are awful in the red zone also. I’m not sure the spread is the best fit for us.

That said, I am not ready to give up in RH yet. He should be given time to get his guys in, but we need to see improvement next year. I would be fine with a new OC who has a track record of developing QBs.

I m counting 86 student athletes who have closed their minds and ears on this coach. I bet there will be a mass exodus after the season.

My proof that Huesman is not the guy to lead this program and we need to seek a new coach now and not waste another season goes back to last season. This season is just the icing on the cake.

Think about it this way, he had arguably the most talented player we have had in the last 40 years, if not in school history, at the most important position and we still ended up with a 6-5 record and missing the playoffs. And this was after this player led us to back to back playoff appearances and if he didn’t get hurt the year before probably back to back semi-final appearances if not better.

It’s not that easy to figure out. Many of the same core players were back, the best player in the FCS division leading your offense and we end up with 5 loses and out of the playoffs. Biggest change from year to year was the HC. Now a year later we see how much KL saved us from having more than 5 loses last season as we stare at 3 and 8 this year.

I think people just don’t appreciate how much talent we had back in 2007-2009 on those teams. We haven’t had close since.

2007 through 2009 were some great teams with great players and leaders. Still think 2016 could have been a special year like 2008 if not for Lauletta suffering that knee injury. The 2015 team got a taste of what it took to advance in the playoffs and was gearing up for another playoff run and was dominating WM until that injury. Its gone downhill from that point.

It's just not losing that's the concern, if we'd had a few bad breaks and lost some close ones, ok the ball will bounce our way eventually...this is truly horrible play and that concerns me Huesman and staff have had these players for what amounts to two seasons now and they are still disorganized, undisciplined, we've had 17 interceptions (what is the spider record 18?) and on and on. We'll see if they can improve against Maine.

DT, those 07 to 09 teams had amazing talent all over the field. The 2016 team might have been as successful as the 2008 team if KL wasn’t injuried in the WM game which is why I said Huesman wasted the last year of one of the most talented players we have ever seen at UR. Proving why I don’t think he has it as a HC at this level.

I’ll admit I’m likely in the minority here but I just didn’t think we were that close in 2016 - a very good team but I didn’t think as talented as 2007/8/9 teams. However that’s all water under the bridge at this point.

I realize that 2 years into a 5 year contract were not going to buy out. So, we’re stuck with at least one more year of Huesman. Change out a number of the staff and give it another run. Hopefully we can get a staff that can connect with the kids. Get a little bit going and it may change quickly. And if it doesn’t we burn it all down and start over.

Huesman was 6-5 his 1st year at UTC, then 6-5 in the 2nd year; 5-6 in his 3rd. 6-5 in his 4th. 8-4 in his 5th, maybe we're just going to have to be patient. It's strange to see a bunch of people calling for his head and all these changes in year 2, yet we've got people supporting Mooney is his 14th when he should have been gone 5 years ago.

In CAA play we have 22 turnovers to 6 takeaways (exactly 1 each game). I don't care if the coach is Mike London, Mike Houston, or Mike Holmgren, you're not going to win with those numbers.
That is an amazing difference and if remember correctly back in 2007-2009 when we were so strong, our turnover ratio was reversed and we rarely turned the ball over. Choppin you hit the nail on the head, no one wins consistently with those TO figures. Huesman acknowledged in post game how bad it has been.

I chuckled when he told JOC that the balls were thrown so poorly and directly to the defender that JOC could have caught the ball.
