Wednesday night may well be last realistic chance for a win this season. Kirby, Friendshuh, Madrid- Andrews should be among the starters. Yes I know it will not happen but it would be "appropriate" for their last game at Robins even though their families will probably be miles away unlike Saturday night. Not any guarantee we win - Mass lost by 2 at Rhody and last game lost by 2 at Mason. Beat Dayton twice, LaSalle and St Joe's once - early in season beat Georgia and Providence. Matt McCall, 36 years old, is in first season and did well in his two seasons at Chattanooga with a 48-18 record.

We close at a 14-15 Goo Moo club next Saturday but the Umass game Wednesday is the last realistic chance for a win. And I agree. Really think about how pathetic that is.

Scary thing is that there are a lot of young clubs in the A10 this year and they will all get better. Not like we are in some vacuum where we are the only ones getting better. We could easily be in worse shape competitively next year. Look out Fordham, here we come.

If the vindictive Mooney didn’t have the common courtesy to play the seniors in front of their parents, then he won’t play them Wednesday either. Remember, we are playing for double digit wins!!

Coach knows there are no banners just for double digit wins.

True dat.

The fact that we are even talking about "playing for double digit wins" at the end of the season shows how far we have fallen in the CM tenure unless this year is an aberration.

Two quotes about winning:
Paul Brown
“When you win, say nothing. When you lose, say less.”
Tom Landry
“The secret to winning is constant, consistent management.”

ahhhh, the Tavern. What a wonderful establishment. I might skip the defining game of the season, and go get some nachos.

winning 14 games should have been the minimum this year.
Where are those picks? Seems to me there were a number of 8 to 10 wins picks. I don't think I was one of them. I expected a substantial improvement in Feb.....boy was I wrong.

The standard is have a good guy as the coach, players graduate and high attendance at games. Never has anything been mentioned as far as wins and losses and that is very irritating.

Good guy let’s player play in fronf of parents for Senior I think? substitution of players practice makes perfect for coaches too . Who thinks anyone not to play this year gets more than 5 minutes game next year ? I never see this happen here I think , players should run marathons during off season to prepare for minutes without substitution . How can it be surprised that legs are tired , or that no pivot substitution no problem is a Big problem .

Good point, as with systems, coach is inflexible with player opportunity. Once in the doghouse, always in the doghouse.
It does seem especially crappy the treatment of Paul on senior day. He had been getting minutes, then nothing. Very spiteful and I think he is flat out lying about the "flow of the game" explanation.

God UMass is bad. They used to be a great team under Coach Cal. Those days are long gone.

They used to be great when they were paying for NBA talent like Marcus Camby. They had to vacate their final four and return all NCAA earnings when they got caught. Harder to compete when you aren't cheating.

True, Calipari left a disaster

Play like we did tonight - 57% from 2, 44% from 3(67% second half) and 91% from free throw line would improve victory total. Do realize I have to credit porous D of UMASS for some of that - but our 3's in the second half were definitely a thing of beauty!
