CHECKS AND BALANCES

A divided America is EXACTLY what Putin has sought for years and he finally has achieved it.
You are absolutely correct.
I believe that history will see Putin's coup in his ability to get Trump elected. Had we nominated any of the other 16 Republican candidates we wouldn't have this mess...and the economy and all else that Trump takes credit for would be just as positive.

“Stupidity “ is that the way you deal with people you don’t agree with by resorting to personal attacks? Even that shows your hypocrisy. Aren’t you supposed be supportive of your
fellow man?
[/quote]

I’m sorry, but I must have been playing hooky from Sunday School the day I was to have taken the refrain-from-attacks-support-fellow-man vow. Look, if you can’t handle being called stupid, then you must be stupid (Q.E.D.).

Seriously though, how would you expect one to reasonably respond to a person who defends the outlandish and unequaled repugnancy of that tall, fat, vile orange slug in the Oval Office who is documented to lie every other time he opens his mouth? The real hypocrisy is with so-called Christians who continue to support him despite his non-repentant violation of all Ten Commandments and their corollaries.

But wait. Hold on. Maybe I shouldn’t call them stupid, despite their ostensible stupidity. Maybe I should call them pharisaical. Maybe I should more aptly call them dissemblers, bigots, toads, miscreants or wastrels.
Let me ponder your challenge at greater length. I’ll get back to you.

funny, when you don't have a true argument, you call others stupid. sorry, nothing personal but you guys are delusional and have no idea of TRUE reality. putin did nothing in our election, did not change even one vote. the only thing that was found was mucho ads on facebook, other places, for both candidates. who votes based on facebook ads? who even reads facebook ads? you just keep believing that trump should not have won and you are wrong, he won and he had no outside help. hillary lost and did have outside help from both russia and ukraine, not fake but fact. there are no facts that russia changed any votes in the election but the fake russian dossier hillary bought tried to derail the candidate, then the prez-elect and then the prez. the dnc met with the ukrainian embassy to try and dig up dirt on trump. both of these are proven facts where there are no such facts about trump and putin or russia, just fake news to keep people like you mad that the election was stolen when it was not. it is like you guys, though very smart, am sure, just cannot accept facts and keep believing trash that is shown to you by others of similar ideas. you have been had and more than once or twice, you keep buying into trash instead of facts. trump had a message, he outlined what he wanted to do, he provided a list of potential supreme court nominees and was doing 2-4 meetings per day while hillary worked on getting healthy. you just cannot accept the truth because you do not want to but guys, at some point you will have been slapped in the face so much, you will have to ask yourselves, what in the heck is wrong with me and of course all of the other snowflakes, commies, socialists, anarchists, who remain crying and disbelieving. of course, regular folks are just going about the business of making american great again. such a huge difference between our america and your america.

Trump ran a brilliant campaign and won the electoral vote which is how we pick our winners. Hillary won the poplar vote while running a lazy, uninspired, passive, and stupid campaign which was probably the biggest boost Trump could have asked for. It didn't hurt that Hillary had huge negatives coming out of the starting blocks. Putin is no dummy, he sees the division in America and he is doing everything he can to stoke those flames of division.

Eliminate political parties and a lot of this goes away. But we're too stupid as a society to make that happen, so we get what we deserve.

There is no point having a discussion with such a closed minded individual. You are what is wrong in U.S. politics. Freedom to allow an opposing view shows your inability to think beyond your own views.
Pretty small minded in most people’s book.

We have too many people who confuse holding an opinion with holding the keys to eternal truth. This is particularly problematic among our friends on the left.

I still contend that in any almost given political situation if halfway through an argument or discussion, you suddenly flipped the parties, each side would begin arguing for the points they had just been arguing against and vice versa. And that's the height of hypocrisy and why political parties have ruined us.

during my lifetime, democrats ran my state and ran the federal govt as well, held the house for what 45, 50 years? what has taken place over the past 30 years or so is that regan started a conservative movement that caught on, conservative radio gave a voice to conservatives, thus the liberal media had some little competition. the republicans won the house in 94, i think, the dems were in denial and did not give up that power or tried not to. the dems, the media ran things and had no real competition. we see for the past three years, they do not want to give up their power so they and their partners in the media have done nothing positive only attack and try and drive trump from office. honestly, if the winner had been anyone but trump, they would have resigned but unfortunately for them, they went after a fighter, the first fighter the republicans have had and he has kicked their butt in everything they have thrown at him. actually, trump has given the gop a template on how to win and how to ignore and destroy a biased media. this is why there is this huge fight, the dems have had it their way for a very long time and slowly it has been slipping away. now, the media has been exposed for who they are and have always been and the democrat party has been exposed for who they really are. they have hidden behind the curtain moving us incrementally towards socialism for decades but quietly and not saying who they were. now we all know who they are, they admit it and want to completely change us. listened to aoc's manager or assistant and he stated, the new green deal is not about the planet, our environment, it is about changing our economic system and that is so true. the curtain has been moved aside and now we decide, do we want capitalism or socialist/communism. am old so if our country has changed so much that the latter is selected, won't be here to watch that. loved that chris matthews the other night on msnbc stated that socialism does not friggin work, pretty much his exact words. he is scared, so is his buddy, james carvel who said they are turning the dem party into a cult and i don't like cults, he is really frightened. the two party system has been just fine, with independents having some say, like ross perot who basically handed the election to bill clinton. not sure i want what other countries have with 16-20 parties splintering things. the parties worked together OK until the republicans began to win elections, that is when it started, at least my observation over my adult life.

But you really are stupid. Seriously. You are also quite ignorant. And you are a terrible speller and have no grasp of grammar. And that is just the beginning of what is wrong with you (more to come).

You must come from a blue-collar background. What did your father do for a living?

And, of course, you are holding back from divulging your facts and evidence in support of this indefensible assertion because you have no facts or evidence.
But that’s okay. I get it. It’s merely an defensive assertion which supports your inbred and imprinted philosophy of life, undoubtedly a result of your unquestioning adoption of the philosophy of your progenitors.

Here’s one for you: All conservatives are really eternally stupid because they are incapable of thinking for themselves and are prone to confuse alternative reality with reality, basing their beliefs on hackneyed, untested, blindly adopted, ostensible beliefs of their parents and peers. This is particularly problematic in the evolution and advancement of our species.

i, thank you for verifying my point with your previous two posts.

Agree to disagree, Spinner. Parties are divisive. They simply guilt people into supporting someone or something – sometimes or more often – that they otherwise wouldn't. They are used by both sides to label those on the other (often unjustly and in terms far too broad). They cause people to forgo seeking facts or evidence – or god forbid challenging their own ideas or believes – in favor of simply latching onto one mob or the other. I'm sick of them. They're ruining our country.

would agree with you Eight if you stated that the media does all that. our government, at any level, has to have representatives so when one decides to run for an office or post, typically join the party which bests reflects their ideas, thoughts, direction. that is OK, one has the ability to articulate why they are running, why they wish to serve and that is all good. the media has become involved in the process instead of observing and giving their audience an unbiased snapshot. social media really mucks things even more. have accused many of you on here of being misinformed and uninformed by a media which does not give unbiased stories but stories which favor one side over the other, which is not their job. an opinion writer or broadcaster, yes, but a professional journalist, NO. the dems and the mainstream media, which did hold complete control of the news, coordinate and dominate or did dominate the news. thank goodness that has changed, they have competition on tv, radio but rarely in the newspaper side. luckily, the newspaper side has been fading away but the major national newspapers are so biased that it should be criminal. the parties can be divisive, see what the dems have done for the past 3 years. instead of working for the citizens of this country, they have attacked and lied their butts off, attempting to remove a man elected in a free and fair election. that is just wrong and really hope they pay for that and hope that the unelected bureaucrats who began and ran the russian scam also pay for it. if you don't like a man or woman who has been elected, you beat them next time out, you don't make up complete falsehoods against them and that is what we have seen over and over again, russia, false books with rumors not facts, women with accusations and stories with no facts (see kavanagh), telephone calls with 20 people listening in with a guy who wrote talking points which were not used getting his panties in a bunch and starting another false set of allegations. the dems are doing things i have never, ever, seem before, they are in some fantasy world, no facts, just any story which they feel can take this guy out. hard to believe that smart people who have been lied to over and over and over again, just go back for more and don't hole those spewing the lied accountable. personally, if the news i received was wrong, false, over and over and over again, would look in the mirror and say, it is not them, it is me. you have to be do out of touch with reality to live like that but millions do and just do not get it. the parties are going to bicker, fight, that is OK, you work it out in committee but to do what the dems and their partners in the media have done, not acceptable, criminal and as stated above, hope they answer for what they have laid on the country.

You are quite welcome. And thank you for confirming my suspicion that you have no evidence to offer to support your unsupportable position.

You are so ignorant that when you go home I hope your wife runs out from under the porch and bites you. You are a waste of flesh. You are the moral equivalent of a leech. You are a living emptiness, a meaningless void. On a good day you're a half-wit. You remind me of drool. You are so clueless that if you dressed in a clue skin, doused yourself in clue musk, and did the clue dance in the middle of a field of horny clues at the height of clue mating season, you still would not have a clue.

Spinner, you're missing my point. Take the media out of it. Take everything else out of it. And then take away the R or the D next to someone's name. That's it. Make them explain themselves and their positions. Don't allow them to simply fall in line with a group of people who can control them. If they all had to stand on their own two feet, things would be a lot different. And a lot better.

You’re talking to a rock. Comrade Spinner has spewed his arrogant and ignorant unsupported far-right message since his first post on this board many years ago.

Think about it. Not once, literally, not once has he ever admitted that he may have taken the wrong approach, overstated his position, or in even the slightest way, may have been wrong. But even worse, not once has he ever acknowledged even the possibility that a view not agreeing with his might have some validity or that he might be more persuasive to adopt a different approach.
I am not being hyperbolic...just check his posts. His approach is alien to a meaningful discussion.

So many on this board may think I’m too harsh in criticizing him or think that I’m a far left-wing pinko supporting total socialism, communism, or a far left idealism which would never work. I can deal with that, but the truth is that none of that is true. I’m just here to counter his far-right, neo-facism and provide a counter view. And, of course, at this stage, since nothing else works, to point out his stupidity and the imbecility of his views.

Agent Orange has more than met his match by a really, really, really rich New Yawker who will repeatedly kick him in his testicles. Thanks to the recently enacted tax cuts the Bloomberg campaign hasn’t cost Bloomberg a dime.

Billionaire Mike Bloomberg once told a female employee to 'kill it' after she announced she was pregnant and a former employee claims the businessman spoke 'crudely' of women 'all the time'.

The 78-year-old businessman-turned-politician's controversial past of offensive and sexist comments towards woman has come under a microscope as he competes for the Democratic presidential candidate nomination.

On April 11, 1995, top salesperson Sekiko Sakai Garrison told Bloomberg she was pregnant and he responded by insinuating she should get an abortion, according to a 1997 lawsuit that has been settled.

'He responded to her, "Kill it!"' the court documents said.

'Plaintiff asked Bloomberg to repeat himself, and again he said, "Kill it!" and muttered, "Great! Number 16!" suggesting to plaintiff his unhappiness that sixteen women in the Company had maternity-related status. Then he walked away.'

Bloomberg is seen at his company's television studios in 1994. A resurfaced lawsuit claims that he made cruel remarks to women who worked for him in the 1990s

On another occasion when she expressed she was struggling to find childcare, Bloomberg told her to hire 'some black'.

'It's a f***ing baby! All it does is eat and s**t! It doesn't know the difference between you and anyone else! All you need is some black who doesn't have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building,' Bloomberg said in July 1993.

She responded by crying at her boss's harsh words, according to the lawsuit, which is the subject of a new report by the Washington Post published Saturday.

Sekiko Sakai Garrison (above) filed the lawsuit in 1998. It was settled out of court

Former Bloomberg employee David Zielenziger corroborated those accusations saying on Bloomberg: 'He talked kind of crudely about women all of the time.'

He said he heard Bloomberg tell Garrison to 'kill it', slamming his comment as 'outrageous.'

'I remember she had been telling some of her girlfriends that she was pregnant,' he recalled to the Post. 'And Mike came out and I remember he said, "Are you going to kill it?" And that stopped everything. And I couldn't believe it.'

'I understood why she took offense,' he added.

Zielenziger said he never spoke to Garrison about the incident and he was not a party in her lawsuit against the lawsuit against their former boss.

Ken Cooper, a software engineer who now leads Bloomberg's human resources department, told the Washington Post that he did not hear the comments himself, but Garrison had recounted the kill it comment.

Did Bloomberg ever go around bragging about grabbing babes by the pussy?Did Bloomberg ever payoff 2 Women $160,000 each hush money immediately prior to the 2016 elections after having illicit affairs.
Bloomberg is gonna kick Agent Orange repeatedly in his testicles.Get ready, boy.

He's not tall enough to reach one, so no. He doesn't like women, so no. He's got to get by commie Bernie first. This going to be easy.

Actually, a more comprehensive article is in WAPO with a reference to the book given to Bloomberg by the woman who was the object of many of these statements. That said, if you are a Trump supporter how do you avoid hypocrisy if you take the position that these assertions disqualify Bloomberg from the presidency?
Serious question. No insult intended.

I think his point was that height is not a factor.
Perhaps you could contradict the point and show a correlation. But maybe that's just too HARD.

even his debate cohorts are accusing bloomie of trying to buy the election. if he continues his sterling performances in person, all the ads in the world cannot save him from biden-ville. who wants a guy who goes on an apology tour, wants to take away the famous 64oz soda or our guns. the guy, like most of his buddies on the stage, want to take away everything, micro-manage our lives. appears it will be a 78 year old who just had a heart attack, a communist, who will destroy america. no matter who it is, will not be a moderate because there are none on the stage.

If we survive 4 years of Trump, we will be destroy-proof.

your opinion but from my standpoint, he is saving our country and why he connects with americans, they see it, feel it. he made promises and he is attempting to keep them and has in many areas even without help from the dems who are just interested in kicking him out of office as opposed to helping america continue to be great. all of the problems and divisiveness in our country is from your side while the rest of us go about our business.
