Celebrate Kendall Anthony

When he arrived in the 2011-12 season many Spider fans, including this one, were probably a little skeptical about how a guy who looked so small could help a basketball program coming off of a Sweet Sixteen season...it didn't take long for K0 to show the fans and earn his place in the long line of outstanding Spider guards...

I'm not sure any Spider player has ever gotten more out of themselves than Kendall...he is a fine example of exactly what most coaches would want representing their team and school on and off the court...work ethic, no give up, clutch time performer and articulate representative of program and university...

It was fun to dig back into the archives and find some of the great K0 clips...just a small sample of his outstanding career highlight reel...they are from his first three seasons and generally in chronological order...you may see some plays you remember...I hope you enjoy it...

I hope the Robins Center will be full and loud Saturday night to honor Kendall and clinch a bye in the upcoming A-10 Tournament...

They should do it as close to game time as possible. After Natiaonal Anthem.

Well there's only 2 (I'm not sure of the manager and their status, but only 2 players). It shouldn't take that long. It should be closer to game time and not with 15 minutes before. They did the women's senior day with 15 minutes before game time, but they had like 6 people to go through (5 players + a manager).

Our fans are late arrivers, anything additional to get butts in the seats for the ceremony should be encouraged. So is it before the national anthem, after, 15 minutes before? What time is tip? 8:00 on the dot, 8:07? Getting a clearer picture would help.

Up until the last few games, I was starting to worry that KO would be the first post Sweet 16 player to have played 4 years and not to have a chance to play in a meaningful post season tournament (NIT or better). With a win tomorrow, I would say his chances are looking good.

UR2, good questions. Our fans do arrive late. Hopefully good weather and a later start will get people in the seats earlier.

Yes, even if the NCAA tourney does not work out, it would be nice to get a NIT home game for Kendall.

K0 has the biggest heart of any player we have had at Richmond since Kevin Eastman. I swear it takes up 95% of the volume of his body.

2 Sr players and 4 student managers. Heard that they'll start this ceremony at least 10 minutes before game time (probably around 7:50). Recommend getting in seats by 7:45. Game is on TV so I'm sure they want all of this done before the feed and TV announcers start at 8pm.
