Cayo dominated

I continue to say that we are a really good team when we aren't bubba chucking 3 pointers. Cayo dominated inside and then we made some more selective 3's off of that. It is not a coincidence that when we run our offense through the low post and make scoring inside a priority that we are a much better offense and have a much higher liklihood of winning.

Agreed. Apparently that’s not how basketball is played these days though. At least that’s what I’m told.

"bubba chucking"?

Great game, Nate. With all the talent and scorers on this team, it's not often I say "feed Nate, feed Nate". Today, I was saying "feed Nate".

it was obvious from the first possession that RI was committed to stopping the 3s by not guarding Cayo outside the lane. It worked at first-but on the flip side, once we adjusted, it gave him the space to manuever into the lane, where he found his shots. Once that occurred, they needed to start guarding him more, that opened up the 3s more.

you mean we took what they gave us?

Yes, almost uncomfortable how open he is left from 10-18 feet. Great game though, really liked his energy and attitude all game. He showed a lot of persistence in the post and nice touch battling through contact. I was thinking the same thing kneepad, just shoot your Free Throw, guys were giving him five feet on the perimeter ;).

I was laughing talking to a guy at the game, we seemed to give Jermaine Harris just enough room to get his jumper off - good strategy as he was bricking.

I actually thought Nathan was too aggressive offensively. he forced a lot and didn't kick when it was there. but I can't complain with 50% from the floor.

why I thought it was his best game I can remember was the way he rebounded. and they were tough rebounds. I've complained that he doesn't get enough, but he sure did yesterday. that was a difference maker. great job. he was very active.

Cayo and Buck were teammates....

And play different positions on our roster. Cayo is a power forward, Buck is a guard. But yeah, interchangable, I guess.

Wasn't the 2017-2018 starting lineup
1 JG
2 KF
3 NS
4 DB
5 GG

2018-2019 starting lineup
1 JG
2 JW
3 AG
4 NC
5 GG

2019-2020 starting lineup
1 JG
2 BF
3 NS
4 NC
5 GG

They were both on the 2017-2018 team, but didn't Cayo replace Buck in the starting lineup at PF 2018-2019?
Now saying Buck played PF, isn't saying he was a PF...
And saying Cayo is better as an overall player is a bit absurd...

Slang for Allen Iversoning.
I don't think I just made up that term but as a big AI fan, he was the king of the bubba chuck. AI could bubba chuck all he wanted to though because he had the game to back it up.

Yes. You are correct. It was his nickname. I knew I just didn't make it up but like a lot of stuff in my brain, lost the context. Francis has a bit of bubba chuck in him. But just don't need to have the whole team with that mindset as we sometimes fall victim too.

It fits....
