Casualties in working for Trump’s Reality Show

no big thought process, if a person is not performing, they get to go. this happens in the real world as opposed to government work where your job is always safe, it should not be.

Proper vetting on the way in could have provided a prophylactic or two methinks

yep, that was his goal, did not reach it, may never reach it but is not afraid to remove those who do not measure up and that is good leadership not failure.

all of you guys, particularly 32, are just posting or parroting mainstream media crap on here and you should just keep that to yourself. the country is moving forward in so many areas yet you guys harp on personnel matters and that is so funny but typical of people who just cannot accept a loss and move on, you remain in the ditch, a deep ditch.

Poor guy, look at the circles under his eyes.

32, we all see cnn, msnbc, nbc, abc, cbs, ny times, wash post, you do not have to keep regurgitating crap we don't care about. trump is putting pressure on people so things get done and he is getting things done though you guys probably do not even know it. it is so satisfying to see all of you squirm as his ratings go up as our citizens realize that our country is on a roll. you keep up with your teeny-tiny little matters while the rest of us go forward with out country to new heights. you are a sad bunch and maybe should think about a transfer to venezuela

Based on being excluded from the list above, Fox, Sinclair (in toto) and maybe CNBC are in the non-crap good guy category. Are there any others we should rely upon for information?

don't rely on any electronic media though i am exposed to them, many good writers out there without an agenda on obscure or at least not popular radar screens. good, solid, honest news is available, unless, of course, one is only on one side.

many, including the obama have given him a great backing but he does have one detractor who is making accusations which may or may not be true. hearings are to find out what is true and what is fake. each and every person trump puts up will get 100 times more scrutiny than obama got when he announced his candidacy for president. this may be how it is supposed to work but what goes round comes round

Totally unqualified for the job in the 1st place. No mombojumbo about that.Another ineffective selection. This ain’t ‘The Apprentice’ or is it.

well, he never had a chance and senators talking out of school to the press before actual investigation is just plain wrong. have no idea about this guy but he had a ton of backing so just another person ruined by not even getting to the process. this is not how it should be done and our country is the poorer for it. you guys can clap and laugh but it is not funny and not fair at all and if you stop to think about it, you should realize that you are wrong.

he's been in private meetings with Senators and Congress for some time. I find it interesting not more people are jumping to his defense, makes me feel there may be fire with that smoke

Agreed with @urfan1 -- Who is actually jumping to this guy's defense? He appears to have been an ass at different times, and it's finally catching up to him. Frankly, the fact that this guy got to the point of being "processed" is pretty galling to me.

There are many folks who I disagree with politically who I don't dislike as human beings, and there is space for them in politics. But virtually everyone Trump has put up for almost any role is extraordinarily unqualified for the role that they've been appointed, or simply a vile human being from an ethical point of view. And, in some cases, both. That is what's sad here.

the guy has worked in the white house for what 10 years? nobody said a word that we know of and if he was as bad as a few anonymous souls are saying, how did he retain his job, would have been sent packing long ago. this is just crappy politics but the prob is, it ruins people and maybe keeps really good people from wanting to go through the process. again, it should not work this way at all.

cannot explain the prior WH period, but if just politics where are the R'S

He simply wasn’t qualified to run the second largest cabinet department. The resulting “qualifications” debate is an unmitigated political clown show.

The fundamental conflict between Trump and The Swamp is that The Swamp operates on the "credential" system and Trump operates on the merit system. The Trump Organization is filled with people who went to second tier colleges or have non-traditional career tracks. Trump doesn't care whether somebody went to Harvard or not. He just cares if they can produce results and are loyal.

The Swamp operates on the opposite principle. For them, credentials are everything. It doesn't matter how disastrous your performance may have been- as long as you went to the right schools, know the right people, and have the right experience, you are qualified.

Donald Trumpf is the swamp. Credentials have little or nothing to do with draining the swamp. Sounds good, but not reality based. Draining the swamp has to do exclusively with cleansing Washington of political insiders who are out of touch with the needs and demands of ordinary Americans. It has nothing to do with where one went to school. Trumpf has not only failed to drain the swamp, he has effectively enlarged or expanded it.

That said, take a look at a sampling of those in the Trumpfenreich with a pedestrian, second-tier education:

BEN CARSON
Position: Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
Schools: Yale University, University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins University
Degrees: B.A. in psychology, M.D. in neurosurgery

ELAINE CHAO
Position: Secretary of Transportation
Schools: Mount Holyoke College, Harvard University
Degrees: B.A. in economics, M.B.A.

STEVEN MNUCHIN
Position: Secretary of the Treasury
School: Yale University
Degree: B.A.

MICK MULVANEY
Position: Director of the Office of Management and Budget
Schools: Georgetown University, University of North Carolina, Harvard Business School
Degrees: B.S. in foreign service, J.D.

WILBUR ROSS JR.
Position: Secretary of Commerce
Schools: Yale University, Harvard University
Degrees: B.A., M.B.A.

Now, I'm not saying that they can't relate to Stormy Daniels, or other women, especially prostitutes, who have chosen "non-traditional" career paths, and apparently run in the same circles as Trumpf; they can. However, they do have credentials.

If you want an idea of how Trumpf has failed to drain the swamp, start by perusing the following articles:

Trump's transition team is full of DC lobbyists and insiders

How the Swamp Drained Trump

Trump's cabinet is way wealthier than Obama's or Bush's initial cabinets

"After the 2016 election, President Donald Trump said he wanted people in his cabinet who "made a fortune."
"Trump's first cabinet has an estimated net worth of around $2.3 billion, about 35 times President Barack Obama's first cabinet and seven times President George W. Bush's initial cabinet." http://www.businessinsider.com/

So, right. Trumpf and his team are the friends of middle America. I'm surprised that it's even debatable. Perhaps, it's not. Or, perhaps it shouldn't be.

So what is it with you guys from the far right? I'm serious.
I'd like to know why do you never seem to get things right, starting with the facts.

listened to a questioning by one of our local representatives last week, a yale grad, a uva law school grad and it was just pitiful. where you went to school means absolutely nothing. this rep made a fool of herself and two female comedians who may not even have gone to college made her look even worse. to ruin people for political purposes is disgraceful, does not matter which side, just disgraceful.

the mcconnel deal says it all about the swamp, so incestuous with every spouse, even the media, having their fingers in the pie and certainly not wanting any change there. that is why this fight is taking place, they don't want their little empires taken away or even cleaned up, both sides.

Trumpf once saw a picture of Nigeria, but he didn't read the accompanying article: "Way too many three-syllable words" he is reported to complain. "All the other South America countries, especially Brazil, should follow the Nigerian model," he lamented. "If they did, we would not have to worry about the Boko Haram types," he later Tweeted.
Making no sense with his inappropriate and anomalous references, our leader continued with his barrage, letting us know that with him at the helm Western Democracy, as we knew it, is now verboten. "Thus Spake Zarathustra"...err Trumpf, the person occupying the office of the former leader of Western Democracy and the Free World, our duly elected President.

"Democracies give way to tyrannies when mob passion overwhelms political wisdom and a populist autocrat seizes the masses. But the tyrant is not quite a tyrant at first. On the contrary, in a democracy, the would-be tyrant offers himself as the people’s champion. He’s the ultimate simplifier, the one man who can make everything whole again."
