CAA Football 2021

Umass needs to move back down. They have to have had the least amount of success out of all the teams that have made the jump from FCS to FBS. If I remember correctly they weren’t really having all that much success in the few years prior to them jumping up either. Umass just isn’t really a fit for the FBS level; not a lot of high school talent in their state, not a conference that is a good fit for them, and not exactly in that high demand as far as a TV market because people up north don’t care about college football.

UMASS was a solid CAA program with at least a national championship or two.

umass didn’t have a conference home which killed it. UConn had the home and has been “ok”, andUmass thought it could build off that. Didn’t work.

in terms of northeast. Penn St, Syracuse & BC have been fairly relevant for a long time.

Half of FBS needs to move down.
