Assuming the top 6 teams all win against teams in bottom half of the conference sorting out the rest is confusing

JMU has UR and Nova
Stony Brook has New H. and Maine
UR has JMU
Nova has JMU and Maine
New Hamp. has Stony B and Maine
Maine has Nova, Stony B and New Hamp.

If we can knock off JMU we still need Stony B to lose twice, Maine plays New H. will give one of them 2 loses. JMU plays Nova will drop another one to 2 loses. I have no idea how a multiple team tie sorts itself out, especially when some of the tied teams haven't played each other. We certainly have a one of the better paths to finishing the season with 1 conference loss, assuming we can take care of Delaware and the Tribe in Billsburg after JMU.

We really only need SB to lose one if we win out. They have the tiebreaker over us, but it's meaningless. It only determines the auto bid, but if we're CAA co-champs with an FBS win, we're getting an at-large.

It could be that say for an example New Hamp and JMU are also one loss teams. NH beats Stony B, we beat JMU.

We were 2015 co-champions with JMU and WM despite defeating both during the regular season (all 6-2). We just need to win out and have SB stumble.

Seems like the league would employ some tie breakers rather have multiple teams cavorting about as champions.

IMHO, the Spiders were THE champions last year. OSC

NCAA.com
Last Updated - Nov 2, 2016 12:45 EDT

INDIANAPOLIS —The NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee will reveal the top-10 teams in rank order three times during the month of November.

The committee will be releasing the top-10 teams for the first time in history. The rankings will be announced as part of College Football Daily on ESPNU Nov. 3 and 10 at 4 p.m. (ET).

The final release will take place Nov. 15 at 10 p.m. (ET) on the ESPNU Championship Drive: Power Hour. The November announcements are an effort to build excitement around the NCAA Division I Football Championship. The final bracket will be revealed on Selection Sunday, November 20 at 11 a.m. (ET) on ESPNU.

The 2016 championship field consists of 10 automatic qualifiers and 14 at-large qualifiers. The top eight teams will be seeded, receive first-round byes and host second-round games providing they satisfy the hosting criteria. The 16 other teams will bid to host first-round games. First-round games will take place Saturday, Nov. 26 and the championship will conclude with the national championship game in Frisco, Texas, Saturday, January 7 at Noon (ET) on ESPN2.

Still tight for 1 loss or less teams in final weeks.

Nov 4
Maine vs Nova
NH bye
St Brook vs WM

Nov 11
Maine vs ST Brook
NH vs Albany
Nova vs JMU

Nov 19
Maine vs NH
StB vs Albany
Nova vs. Del
JMU vs. Elon

Assuming we beat JMU and win last two. with no other upsets; It looks like we want Nova to beat Maine, Maine to beat St B, JMU and Nova won't matter, and Maine to beat NH.

How many CAA teams get in?

My prediction for the first announcement:

1 Sam Houston State
2 Jacksonville State
3 North Dakota State
4 Richmond
5 James Madison
6 Eastern Washington
7 The Citadel
8 Chattanooga
9 Charleston Southern
10 North Dakota

My altered prediction for the first announcement:

4.Sam Houston State
3.Jacksonville State
1.North Dakota State
6.Richmond
7.James Madison
2.Eastern Washington
5.The Citadel
8.Chattanooga
9.Charleston Southern
10.North Dakota

So is this what they said?

1. Jacksonville St
2. Sam Houston St
3. Eastern Washington
4. North Dakota St
5. James Madison
6. The Citadel
7. Richmond
8. Chattanooga
9. Charleston Southern
10. Central Arkansas

Is this supposed to be how they seed the playoffs? I'm confused as to why it's different from the STATS poll

This is the only list from the people who do seed the playoffs. STATS, Coaches, AGS, etc. are not the playoff selection committee ...this is. But will be updated weekly...

Gotcha, thank you.

I think if we win out, we'll get a top 4 seed

It isn't going to stay this way, but I'd be ok with:

Someone at Robins
At Sam Houston
At Eastern Washington
North Dakota State at Frisco

That's a lot of trips west, but I like the idea of staying away from Fargo.

I think winning the conference out right is our best guarantee of a top seed

The EWU matchup would concern me as much as NDSU. EWU can spread a team out and throw all over the place like nothing we will see this year.

That red carpet would have a dizzying effect on our players and coaches and viewers .Throw in the jet lag and we end up playing like URI not UR.Only kidding,of course.
